Ranboo's POV
"Let's go!" Asterin yelled, grabbing my hand and running. Doors were thrown open until we reached the outdoor air and kept running.
"Where are we going?" I asked, laughing as I tried not to stare at my feet.
I never got a response.
A few minutes of running later and we were both laying on the rocky beach, chests heaving and lungs begging for air.
"I know what I want, Xavier." She said, a wide smile on her face as she looked over at me.

The desire in her eyes relit something inside of me.
I could feel the warm air suffocate me.
I could feel the rocks digging into my back.
I could feel my heart hammering in my chest so hard I could hear it in my ears.
"What's that, Asterin?" I asked, the words rolling iff of my tongue in one breath.

I could feel her stare even if I wasn't looking at her.
I could feel the fire burning me alive.
I could feel the tension burning in the air around us like a fire left alone for far too long.
It was like the fire never left, like it'd been trying to light on something we weren't giving it anymore. Now that we're both here feeding it, the fire is bigger and brighter and hotter than it was prior.
"When have I ever backed down from a challenge? When have I ever decided to not do something out of fear?"
"Never."
"So why would I let it stop me now? From getting what I want and what I desperately need?" She asked me.

"You shouldn't." I spoke. Our eyes never left one another and the smiles never faltered once.
"You realize we were never actually officially boyfriend and girlfriend a year ago, right?" She asked.
"Yeah, but it never felt like we were just friends." I spoke softly, smiling wider at all the memories we made together.
"So why make that mistake twice?" She asked me. I could tell she was gauging my reaction. If I were smarter, I would have fucked around and not given her that satisfaction of a response, but im not a smarter man.
"What are you saying, Asterin?" I asked, playing dumb so she could just say the words Ive been waiting a year to hear.
It was weird, waiting for her to ask me out. We never were like normal dynamics though, so why would this be any different?

"I'm so fucking in love with you, Xavier Carter. In the past year I have realized how life felt before you, how it felt with you and how it felt after you. I never want to redo any of it. I want to make memories of forever with you by my side."

The word sat perfectly on my tongue, making me feel so many rush if emotions.
Asterin Heart's boyfriend
"As long as I can be the one to get you a promise ring." I laughed.
"Yeah, that's fine. I can make that agreement." She said with a smile.
I was never one to demote people to someone's partner, but if I were to forever be called Asterin's boyfriend instead of Ranboo or Carter or Xavier, i'd be perfectly fine.
I love being undefined, unlabeled, free
but the most freeing feeling i have ever felt was with her
so maybe I loved being defined by her, labeled as hers, being the official title of her boyfriend.
I didn't think my heart could beat any faster than it did the night of the new years party, but boy was I wrong.
She will always have this effect on me.
"Can we kiss now?" She asked, sitting up and looking at me. I wasted no time in sitting up and pressing our lips together.
I could lie and say it didn't feel right, but i'd be fucking sent to hell for that lie.
Asterin always felt right,
She always was right for me.
She compliments me in ways nobody else ever has.

"I love you, Asterin Heart." I whispered upon pulling away.
"I love you, Xavier Carter."
"Good, i'd think I was a bad boyfriend if you didn't."
"Shut up." She said, pushing me away by the shoulder.
"So its official, you're my bitch." She laughed.
"Oh fuck off you whore." I joked. She laughed and sat in between my legs, watching over the water. I held my arms around her and kissed the top of her head.
Forever is going to be nice with her.
