Izuku didn't have to ask, as bakugou said, "he's a powerful mage, from the banished kingdom, he's the king, and. . . Your soulmate. . ."

"He's my. . . Soulmate. . .?"

"deku. . . I'm sorry, but you have to stay here until the high mage creates a way to keep shigaraki from finding you, because if he does. . . then he could release everyone in the banished kingdom"

"what do you mean? how could him finding me release the banished?"

". . . because. . . the banished kingdom is protected by a barrier that keeps anyone who enters, trapped within, and it can only be released by the bloodline of king toshinori yagi. . . that includes your blood. . ."

izuku became quiet, falling to the ground in shock and exhaustion, prince bakugou had tried to get izuku to talk again, but failed in his attempts, so he let izuku be, exiting the enchanted room with a sorrowful look

minutes to hours passed, and izuku remained in the same position, a few servents came by, trying to convince the prince to eat, but no matter what, he ignored them, staying silent and motionless

Of course, izuku wasn't much of a big eater to begin with, but usually, he would at least eat some of the food, so feeling uneasy, a few of the servants told izuku's father about this, hoping he could get izuku to eat

soon, king hisashi entered the enchanted room, smiling nervously while holding a bowl of katsudon

"izuku my emerald, I brought you katsudon, your favorite" the king said, stepping in the barrier and sitting in front of izuku, who barely looked up

(Yes I finally made hisashi nice, I know, shocker)

izuku hesitated, but took the bowl anyways, eyeing the food before taking a small bite, which made hisashi smile

Hisashi soon stood up and said, "alright, you eat up and rest, I will get the servants to bring some books and your journals, so you'll have something to do, alright?" To which izuku simply nodded

Once hisashi left, izuku put down the bowl and moved it past the barrier, two servants came in as he did, one taking the bowl and the other handing izuku a pillow and blanket, which izuku thanked them for

Izuku snuggled into the blanket, loving the warmth it provided, as the enchanted room had such a cold atmosphere

Soon, izuku drifted to sleep, not knowing what was waiting for him once he were to wake. . .
