We stayed a long time intertwined together, at some point I didn't even know where I ended and where James started. Relinquishing control with James had been so easy and it had felt so good. He was the first person who made me feel safe enough for me to even think about doing that. And Goddess, I would do it again it was breath-taking. After some time, I started feeling hungry, when was the last time I ate? Yesterday's lunch. But I didn't mind, he was in my arms. But when my stomach growled loud enough for him to hear he chuckled.

"How about you take a shower and I get some breakfast ready?" he suggested.

"That sounds nice." I confessed. He laid a soft kiss on my forehead and climbed off the bed, I couldn't help but stare, he looked so good. His back was corded with muscles and his ass, it was a work of art. The Goddess surely had great taste when she made a man like that. He picked up our clothes from the floor and put them in the laundry basket in the bathroom. Still I couldn't take my eyes off him. He turned back and caught me eyeing him causing him to smirk at me. But he got dressed and went downstairs. I got up, covered in sweat from the most delightful morning workout and I took a shower. After braiding my hair I got dressed in a simple high-waisted pant, a jumper and thick socks.

As soon as I was walking down the stairs the smell of pancakes reached my nose and had my mouth watering. James was in front of the stove cooking, and the image struck me, it felt so right, I was where I belonged, with him. I sneaked up behind him and hugged his waist. I let him go and started to look for things to do to help but he stopped me.

"Let me, my love. Just sit and I'll take everything out." I complied, going to sit at a stool in front of the kitchen island. Soon enough, he brought food and sat next to me. The first bite of pancakes had me moaning in satisfaction. And I ate all the food he placed in front of me. After cleaning up we went to sit on the couch with a mug of coffee still in hand. I cuddled against him.

"Did you sleep well? No nightmares?" he asked concerned.

"How did you..." I started but then I realized Liam must have told Arthur. "Liam?" I squinted my eyes.

"He was worried, why didn't you tell me?" he wasn't scolding me, he was just concerned.

"Because I didn't want to burden you with that..." I confessed quietly.

"I'd say it's foolish to believe you could ever be a burden, but I kinda did the same thing, didn't I? I hope you know there is nothing that you can go through that would make me love you less." He said while holding me, I put the mug on the coffee table and I turned to see him.

"I know, and that goes both ways. I just thought I was doing the right thing, but I know now things are only right when we're together." He gave me a wholesome smile and kissed me.

"So what do you want to do today? Arthur cancelled all my meetings, so I'm all yours." he asked me.

"Can we go in your garden? I wanna walk in the snow." I asked excited. I had always loved snow. The day before, I had been battling against the weather to join him as soon as possible, but now, I wanted to go run in it. He frowned at first but when he saw my excitement he gave up.

"Okay, but we need to suit up, I don't want you freezing like last night."

"Deal."

I jumped out of the couch and dragged him. He covered me in one of his hoodies and gave me a big jacket and I took shoes from my bag. I breathed in the hoodie, it smelled just like him.
