Taehyung finally sat down in the cafeteria of his college panting and sweating profusely after a long and tiring day.

The sun outside seemed angry on the humans for some reason. It seemed like it wanted to burn everything alive and destroy their existence. The sky was a clear blue canvas. There were no traces of the clouds. It was rare for temperature to go so high in south Korea in summers.

Today was one of those record breaking day.

A rain was what every living creature was anticipating.

The sweat couldn't keep the body temperature controlled. He licked his slightly chapped lips only to smile at his best friend who came back with two drinks and tray of food with French fries and two burgers.

Yeonjun pushed his hairs back taking a seat and opening his drink.

''The fuck these summers wants now?'' He glared at nothing in particular. Taehyung giggled opening his own drink before drinking almost half of it in one go. He placed the can back on the table and exhaled in satisfaction.

The drink washed down his food pipe to his stomach like a calming ocean wave that caress the sand that has been yearning for years for being touched by the sea. He closed his eyes throwing his head back for a moment as he felt better.

''I hate summers.'' Yeonjun stated again taking another sip. The blonde opened his eyes and looked at his best friend.

''Summers are not that bad, Yun.''

''You don't get started again! I know you will come up with some poetic bullshit saying sun is angry because humans is exploiting earth which he loves so much and blah blah blah!'' The black-haired male huffed in anger at the other who giggled again.

''What happened to you?''

''What happened to me? The fuck happened to all these teachers?'' Yun asked taking another sip from his drink. ''Do they sleep whole semester?''

Taehyung shook his head and picked up a fry. He knew why his best friend was so angry. It was their last sem and the exams were approaching so all the teachers gave their assignments at the same time. Not only that, they also gave such a short deadline.

''They could have given the same assignments a week ago. We students wouldn't have to stay up at nights They don't really care about our mental health, do they?'' Yeonjun asked again shaking his head. The blonde totally agreed with his best friend.

If the same assignments were given a few days earlier, they wouldn't have to be so worried about the deadline and completed it on time without having to compromise with their sleep.

Just a week?

How was he going to manage?

''You can still do that somehow, Yun but what am I going to do? I have a job too.'' He worded out his conflict. Yeonjun looked at him dipping a fry in the sauce.

''Don't overwork yourself, Tae.... take a few days leave from the café.''

''That's what I'll have to do, I think.''

''You should do that... staying up all night to finish these assignments then college in morning, job in evening.... you will exhaust yourself.'' The black-haired male suggested taking a sip from his drink.

It felt better now. The air didn't feel like prickling needles. The air from the fans were hot and dry yet it still felt cool against the sweating skin. The chatter in the cafeteria as students talked amongst themselves sounded like some background music.

''Talk to Jin Hyung... he will understand.'' Yeonjun added suggestively. ''We can have sleepovers at each other's places and work on these assignments together because I know you are going to be very careless with your health and sleep.''
