The blonde handed the coffee to the girl and smiled warmly when she thanked the barista. He picked up the tissue paper to wipe his hand when the bell chimed indicating someone's arrival. His amber eyes drifted towards the door on instincts at the speed of light but the brightness that flashed for a moment lightening up his eyes disappeared the very next moment when he saw a lady walking inside.
The boy stared at the door for a moment only to shake his head. Looking down, he wiped his hand with the tissue paper a little disappointed.
It had been happening for almost a week now.
A week since he had been looking towards the door every time someone walks inside.
A week since Jungkook gave him a beautiful dream unknowingly.
More than the brunet, he was disappointed at his own self. He just couldn't stop expecting the other to turn up any day now. Every day when he walk inside the café, he wondered if today was going to be the day when that stranger who felt so familiar would walk inside from the same door and take the blonde on that coffee he promised.
He had asked Taehyung to wait for him then why wasn't he here yet?
The blonde smiled sadly looking up, his gaze roaming around the people sitting in the café. Most of them were regular customers yet Taehyung never waited for them. Despite seeing each other everyday, they were strangers.
Then it should be the same with Jungkook too.... right?
He was also a stranger. They just met once, that doesn't make Jungkook any less or more than just a customer.
The brunet must have a life of his own. He must have his small world where there may be more important people and work to attend. He looked like some rich businessman from the appearance, maybe he forgot that he needed to meet someone.
While the blonde didn't like the thought, he couldn't stop himself from agreeing. Taehyung was no one to Jungkook. He was just a barista at a café the brunet happened to visit on a random day. It was only natural if he forgot.
Maybe he should also forget about Jungkook.
His train of thoughts stopped when another customer approached him. He smiled at the other warmly before taking the order and went back to brewing the coffee.
He shouldn't wait for the other.
It was almost the closing time. There were no more customers so the blonde removed his apron after cleaning the counter and placing the things back into their position.
Changing the clothes, the boy splashed some cold water on his tired face. His amber eyes held traces of sleep due to lack of sleep last night. He looked at his reflection for a moment before drying his face and combing the blonde hairs with his fingers roughly.
