The rest of the week went by really fast. Hermione almost completely forgot about Draco and his note. That is, until Draco pulled her aside on Friday afternoon after classes were over.
"Remember to meet me tomorrow," Draco rushed. Hermione nodded, knowing that Draco didn't want to be seen with her at all. "Hey, are you okay?" he looked at her, worried.
"I'm fine," Hermione nodded. She had learned how to fake a smile over the last few years, so she put on her best happy smile and looked at him. Draco looked at her suspiciously, but nodded.
"Okay... well I have to go. I'm meeting a girl that is going to help me with potions, because I don't really understand what we are doing," he said, turning away from her. Hermione grabbed his hand.
"I thought I was your tutor?" Hermione asked, feeling hurt that he was already replacing her.
"I wasn't replacing you if you think that's what this is. I want to know this girl. Or, my father wants me to know this girl. He wants to get close to her mother. She is very powerful. The girls name is Juliet Markson-"
"I met her! She was next to me before the sorting ceremony-"
"Granger, seriously, I need to go and meet this girl before dinner," he interrupted her. Hermione nodded and let got of his hand.
"Sorry..." Hermione turned and ran back to the dormitory. When she got back she was crying. She ran into her room. Lydia was sitting on her bed, reading Pride and Prejudice. She looked up and saw Hermione run to her bed and start sobbing into her pillow.
"Oh my gods, Hermione what's wrong?!" She asked, running to her friends side.
"I hate boys!" she cried into her pillow. Lydia started laughing. Hermione looked her friend, still laughing. "Why are you laughing at me?"
"Because you are eleven! You shouldn't be hating boys just yet," she laughed, sitting on Hermione's bed. "What's his name?" Lydia asked, wiping her tears away.
"Draco Malfoy," she sniffled. Lydia's hand dropped. Hermione looked up to find her roommate starring at her wide-eyed. "What?"
Lydia recovered quickly. "Nothing. I've heard that name before. That's all..."
Hermione nodded and wiped her eyes of tears. Lydia was right, there was not reason to be crying about boys when she was still only eleven.
Hermione looked up at her friend and laughed.

The next night, Hermione snuck out of her bed and went to the bookshelf. She grabbed the King Arthur legend and stuck it in a small bag she could carry on her shoulder. She put her hair into a pony tail, put on a pair of fuzzy green pajama pants and a white tank top, stuck her feet into a pair of slippers, grabbed a big Gryffindor blanket, and walked towards the door.
"Hermione?" she heard from behind her. Hermione turned around to find Lydia looking at her sleepily.
"Don't worry about me. I'm going to the library to find a book. That's all," Hermione whispered, not wanting anyone else to hear her. Lydia nodded and fell back on her pillow. Hermione waited until she heard her light snores before she opened their door and walked out of their room. The door locked behind her. She knew the spell to unlock it so she wouldn't be locked out. She adjusted her bag on her shoulder and moved quietly through the common room and out the portrait hole.
The castle was dark and quiet at night. Hermione stopped moving and stood by the window on the staircase that led to the potions classroom. The night sky was beautiful and shinned with stars. She could point out some constellations, but after her astronomy class, she hoped she would be able to point out more.
