A. N. : This is the edited version of chapter 9 and it is very obviously very different from the original version, so do read it before because now the plot has slowed down by a lot so make sure to enjoy the ride!! Also, to my friends reading my book because I pretty much forced them to (because I need opinions bro, come on), I hope you like this as well <3

To all the readers that have stuck with me and my irrational mind, thank you so much once again for being here, reading this story and encouraging me to write more <3

Shoutout to my beta reader who already knows quite a lot about the plot because oh well, she's the beta reader, I'm waiting for your thoughts as well <3

Three more chapters from the original ones to go before the new plot's new chapters come out!! Also, let's just hope I don't get a writer's block because I fucking hate them and feel unproductive.

Also, if anyone asked me why Ulah has the feature they have, the only thing I can say is science. If the mermaid is pale, they will have a lot of fat to keep them warm because being pale in the sea means to live at the bottom of the sea and its fucking cold. If the mermaid is tanned it means they live in the shallower levels of water and they will more 'fit' because yes.

DO. NOT. TELL. ME. WHAT. TO. DO. WITH. MY. BABIES.

If there weren't already hectic problems to tackle with, the Crown Prince soon realized that no matter who or what sort of familiar talked to the sea, or even the winds, no one was giving them an answer as if waiting for a particular thing or sequences of things to happen to trigger their movements once again.

The last person to try their luck was Hamada but even he had no luck no matter how he tried.

"They simply refuse to speak, let alone answer any questions. We have yet another crisis on our hands." The raven head sighed, calling back his familiar that was a large black snake, named Kuro.

All this while, Emperor Alexander was frozen, not out of fear but of a intense emotion that he couldn't decipher if it indeed was fear or just anticipation of his life long, hopeless hope being real.

◀ Emperor Alexander's emotional turmoil is about to touch the level harmful in a few minutes if went unchecked!! Host should be careful!! ▶ Emily's voice sounded a little panicked as a deep blue screen appeared before Hayes, which seemed to be invisible to others as no one questioned the lilac haired prince what that right in was front of his face.

Hayes looked towards his father, who still looked dazed, and in deep thoughts of the days long gone beyond them and out of reach.

"Dad? Are you feeling alright?" The Crown Prince approached cautiously, he didn't want to trigger anything worse or startle the older man.

"Huh?" Emperor Alexander turned around to look at his son who had caught him a little off guard, "Oh no, everything's alright Hayes. Just... Just thinking about something."

"You can share it with me, dad, maybe I can help you arrange your thoughts."

"No, no, I shouldn't be burdening you with my thoughts when we already have so much on our plates for now," The emperor had a sad smile, a one Hayes had worn himself in his past life, a life that now felt distant but held significance yet still, "I believe it's just me and my paranoia."
