A couple days of nothing but the three enjoying each other's company, bodies and time passed and it is now time for her match against Raquel at the PLE.
Buddy went back to the AEW. Rhea and Carmen arrived at their hotel just a few hours prior to the show, and are now backstage getting ready in The Judgment Day's dressing room.
"Are you excited for your match tonight Carmen?" Dom asks smiling.
She looks at him in the mirror as she finishes putting on her eyeliner and shrugs softly. She hasn't thought much about the match. Raquel's backstage words that one day was the last time they spoke, so there's definitely still bad blood there. Maybe even a little bit of a lack of confidence still.
"Fuck!" Carmen groans as she was so deep in thought she swiped her eyeball with the eyeliner.
She drops it onto the vanity and starts to rub at her eye. Rhea pops up from her spot on the couch and rushes over, grabbing a tissue.
"Don't rub it baby. Let me see." She speaks softly.
Carmen moves her hand and lets Rhea hold the tissue under her eye, gently dabbing away the tears so the rest of her makeup doesn't smudge. She smiles softly at Carmen and when she doesn't receive a smile back, she instantly recognizes something is wrong.
Rhea looks up at the guys, who are all now finished getting ready.
"Get out." She says.
Used to her demanding ways, the guys all get up and immediately leave the dressing room, the door shutting behind them. Rhea turns her attention back to Carmen and grabs her chin softly.
"What is it?" She asks.
"It's nothing. Just pre-show nervousness." Carmen replies, forcing a smile.
"Bullshit, try again." Rhea says.
Carmen sighs, "I haven't talked to Raquel since she was talking shit in the viewing room. I'm scared of what's going to happen out there. I have no confidence Rhea."
She hates admitting that. Rhea studies her face then sighs and grabs her hands, gently pulling her up from the vanity chair. Carmen follows her to the couch. Rhea sits, pulling her onto her lap and wrapping an arm around her waist, pushing some of Carmen's hair behind her ear.
"Let me tell you something Carmen. I was lying when I said you should still be on NXT. I don't believe that for a second. You belong right here on the main roster. You deserve it because you are so capable. You're brilliant on the mic and in the ring. You're not unsafe. You're not stupid. You're fucking talented. Amazing. And you're set to win tonight so go out there, kick her ass and we'll celebrate after. Sound good?"
Carmen blushes softly, but smiles genuinely and nods. Rhea grabs her chin again and turns her head to face her before kissing her gently. Carmen kisses back and pulls away softly, smiling.
"I lo-" she starts but is interrupted by two quick knocks at the door, signaling it's time for them to head to gorilla.
Carmen takes a deep breath and stands from Rhea's lap. At least she'll have support by the ring. Even if Rhea can't get into the steel cage they'll be fighting in.
The two make their way to gorilla and wait for Carmen's music to play. She puts on her best evil grin as it does, taking a play from Rhea's book, and they make their way down the aisle towards the ring. Raquel is waiting inside, stretching her limbs and glaring at Carmen. It's a genuine glare, so she's definitely still holding a grudge.
After making their entrance, Carmen winks at Rhea and walks into the ring, hearing the referee shut and lock the cage behind her. Rhea is ringside, hollering about how Carmen's got this as the bell rings, signaling the start of the match.
Raquel and Carmen stand in opposite corners, smirking at each other with everything but friendliness. Raquel runs first, Carmen meeting her in the center of the ring. They grab each other's heads, throwing punches at the same time. Only Raquel's are actually making contact. Nothing Carmen can't handle, but it's pissing her off.
Deciding she's had enough, Carmen decides to make the fight a little more real. After all, it's what Raquel seems to want, right? Right. She blocks Raquel's next punch, locks her arm in place and knees her in the stomach, hard.
Raquel reels back into the turnbuckles in shock, holding her stomach and looking at Carmen with a piercing glare.
"Is that all you've got?!" Raquel shouts.
"Come find out!" Carmen smirks back.
She ducks backwards as Raquel runs at her for a clothesline and pops back up when she stumbles forwards into the ropes. When she bounces back Carmen kicks her in the back, not needing to fake the noise the impact makes as the kick was very real.
Raquel groans loudly and falls to her knees. Carmen runs over and pulls her up by her hair. She's screaming as Carmen grabs the back of her pants, still gripping her hair and runs to the other side of the ring dragging her along. Carmen tosses Raquel over the ropes and her back collides with the steel cage as she falls between it and the ropes, screaming in pain at the impact.
Rhea is in shock outside the ring. She knows this is for real and walks up to the cage as Carmen kneels down over Raquel, punching her head as she's down.
"Carmen chill!" Rhea whispers to her while the camera's aren't on her.
Carmen glances at her with a wild gleam in her eye and backs off Raquel, grabbing her leg and pulling her to the center of the ring. She riles up the crowd, who was already chanting her name, and climbs up to the top rope. She pats her elbow and jumps. Slaughterhouse! She lands on Raquel's side, knocking the wind out of her and immediately puts her in a submission.
It wasn't meant to be a squash match. Raquel was supposed to get her own time in, but Carmen is pissed. She's had enough and she wants to put her in her place. She takes Rhea's ankle lock submission and winks at Rhea as though she's paying homage to her. She holds Raquel there until she screams and taps ferociously. The bell rings and Carmen throws her to the side, kicking at her before leaving the ring.
Rhea grabs her wrist and smirks as she pulls her arm in the air, holding it up and pointing at her.
"Put some respect on her name!" She shouts into the camera as the crowd cheers.
Carmen smiles big and walks back to gorilla with Rhea who continues walking to the dressing room without a word or a look to her. She frowns and goes to follow her but Damian stops her and shakes his head.
"Might want to let her cool down. I saw that look she has. She's not happy Princesa." He warns.
Carmen sighs and looks at the door of the dressing room before making her way to the viewing room snack table instead for now. Why would Rhea be mad? Carmen did what she had to do and she's not going to apologize for it.
