Chapter 15 : The Void Worm And Sleepless Night

Saturday 

Endie woke up just to see Commander Echo, his first friend is sleeping inside of his bedroom. 

"What the dragon are you doing here?" "Wha? Oh hey. Um, don't mind me. Just want to visit you. That's all." "I have a mission don't I?" "You have a mission." "From Queen Ceris?" "From Queen Ceris." 

Endie started to grow tired of Ceris. She always pick him to do a dangerous mission which might cost him something he does not want to lose. His life. 

"Let me guess. It's a dangerous mission." "It is a dangerous mission." "(Sigh) What's the mission?" "To check if The Void Worm will attack us." "Alright. Get out." "Bye bye then." 

Commander Echo left. Endie stand up from his bed and change his clothes into his armour. Endie then teleport to The Void Worm Island. There, he can see a lot of Void Worm flying around. 

"Let's see here. They seem to be minding their own business-" "Hey there!" "Who's there!? Show yourself!"

Endie get his sword out of his back. He is not taking any chance. If it a Void Worm, he is dead. 

"Whoa whoa calm down now. I'm not going to hurt you." It shows up. It is a Void Worm. 

Endie did not put his sword away. He need to stay safe. 

"Alright alright. How about this? I introduce myself and you introduce yourself. How about that?" "Sure..." "Great! My name is Voidy. I'm an outcast because I refuse to harm anyone." "A Void Worm outcast? Kinda hard to believe." "Just trust me please." "(Sigh) Fine." 

Endie put his sword away. This Void Worm seem trustworthy. 

"So, what are you doing here?" "To check if your kind going to attack my kind." "Oh no. Is there going to be another war? I'm tired of all this war." 

Endie couldn't believe what he was hearing. A Void Worm, tired of war, that they created themselves!? The Void Worm was the one who started the war between The Enderman and The Void Worm. 

"Wait a minute. You tired of the war?" "Of course I do. I'm an outcast remember? I'm different than the other Void Worm." "Okay I guess? Can you tell me if The Void Worm going to attack us?" 

Voidy stay silent for a moment. He seem like he was thinking about something. Probably about Endie's question. 

"They will not attack your kind for another 600 years. I think. That's what I heard." "Thank you for the information I guess. I need to go now." 

Just before Endie teleport, Voidy shouted. 

"Wait! Can you be my friend please? I'm kinda lonely. My only friend have a lot of responsibility." 

It takes a lot of time for Endie to answer that simple question. Finally, Endie answer. It's been about what? 10 whole minutes? 

"I guess I can-" "Oh thank you thank you thank you! I can't thank you enough!" "You're welcome?" "You may go. I let you go back home now." "Thank you? Bye I guess." Bye new friend!" Endie teleport. 

Endie just arrive back at The End Island when out of a sudden, Commander Echo came running towards him. 

"Endie! I thought you died! What happen!?" "The Void Worm will not attack us for another 600 years. I think. That's what I heard." 

Commander Echo look so relieved. 

"Oh thank The End you okay. I got worried you idiot!" "Sorry Commander Echo." "Call me Echo you silly Enderman. I'm your friend aren't I?" 

Endie look down then look back at Echo. 

"You are but you're a commander. I need to respect you." "No need for all that formal Ender." "Language Echo." "Sorry." "I need to see King Vordus." "Don't you mean-" 

Endie teleport. Echo didn't get the chance to finish his sentence. Silly Endie. 

"My King? Are you here?" 

Endie open Vordus bedroom door. He can see Vordus is cleaning his magic staff. Vordus notice Endie and stop cleaning his magic staff. 

"Yes my little Enderman? What's wrong?" "I want to ask a question if that's alright." Of course. I don't mind." 

Endie take a deep breath. He is scared to ask the question he had in mind. But, he need answer. Here goes nothing. 

"Well, I want to know if it's possible is I don't capture them." "Who? The Monster School?" "Them, The Entities, Steve and Alex." 

Vordus doesn't seem mad but surprise. Don't know why. Then, Vordus smile. 

"You becoming their friends yes?" "Yes My King." "I don't mind but Ceris? I don't think she'll let this one slide." 

Endie feel sad. He know Ceris would not let this one slide. The other mission? If you are lucky. Not? You die. Simple as that. 

"I understand." "Do you want to sit down?" "No thanks. I need to go back home. Goodbye." "Goodbye then. I hope you'll be fine my little Enderman." "I will." 

After that, Endie teleport back home. Back at The Overworld. He's too tired to change his armour but can't risk anyone see him in that armour. After 5 minutes of just sitting on his bed, he finally change his armour. Of course he just close his eyes and imagine his armour change into his normal clothes. After that, he lie down on his bed. 

'What am I going to do? I don't want them to be sacrificed. But, I'm an Ender Knight. I must obey my Ender Royals orders. I don't know anymore.' 

Endie stay awake that whole night. He can't sleep with all this thought. It's suffocating. He is sleepy of course but he just can't sleep. So, the only solution to that problem is stay awake. He also remember that tomorrow The Entities come back from whatever they were doing. He can't wait to spend his day with The Entities. These happy thought also made Endie stay awake. Poor Endie.
