[Episode Eight - Part Two]

[Three Clubs - The Iconic Flash]

No One's Perspective

Stepping out of the shower, the young Mia wrapped herself in her most comfortable robe and entered her room. The teen bit her bottom lip, and her mind immediately went back to worrying about her friend, Leon.

After Leon left the Facetime call, Mia felt nauseous and quickly excused herself from the call with her other two friends, Richard and Kylie, and took a long hot shower. Mia frantically paced around her room, now biting her well-manicured nails while loud alarms rang constantly within her mind.

'It's been forty minutes, and Leon still hasn't called back. He hasn't answered any of my calls. Something's definitely wrong!' Mia thought, removing the phone's surface from her ear.

Mia entered the 'Unknown Mysteries' group chat and noticed two friends, Kylie and Richard, were online discussing another investigation they needed to complete. With that, Mia decided to call them.

"Richard, Kylie! Have you guys heard back from Leon?" Mia asked, barely giving the boys a chance to speak.

"Ah, welcome back, Mia! And no, we haven't heard back from Leon after the Facetime call." Richard replied. "What's the 411?" Kylie asked.

"I-I can't explain it," Mia stammered, placing the call on speaker as she got dressed. "But I got a weird feeling that something is wrong with Leon. I've tried calling him, but it's been radio silent since the Facetime call."

"Maybe Leon's still chatting with the person who came to him earlier or the Internet got cut," Kylie spoke, slightly uncertain of his answer.

"... Hmm. If that's the case, wouldn't Leon have given us a heads-up about it as per usual?" Richard asked. "I mean, even if the Internet was down, Leon always had enough phone service to last him for months. And we still need to discuss our investigation and joining an alliance with Alan's club to help Black Diamond and Wonder Spade,"

Releasing a frustrated sigh, Mia quickly got dressed. "I'm not sure about you guys, but I'm heading to school to check up on Leon,"

"I'm coming too!!" Kylie exclaimed.

"And you're going to need a driver!" Richard chucked. "Now, let's not waste any more time then," He finished, leaving the call followed by Mia and Kylie. After gathering a couple of things, Mia decided to make one more call.

The raindrops beat against the windows, creating a soothing rhythm inside the apartment. Justin sat around his cluttered desktop with his sketchpad before him. The ravenette furrowed his brows with frustration, his hand clenching the pencil as he struggled to concentrate on his artwork.

'For someone extremely intelligent, you surely are annoying! You've been nothing but a useless asset. It's always the same damn after every battle. Instead of sulking about your lack of combat experience, do yourself a favor and practice basic fighting skills. Honestly, why did Myrus even choose you to become a hero? You know, my only regret was being your friend!'

The memory of his partner, Black Diamond, lashing out at him recited in his mind. Just then, the ravenette heard his phone's ringtone and glanced to see Mia's name appear on the phone's screen display.

Justin groaned, taking a deep breath before answering and putting it on speaker, "Uh- hey, Mia."

"Justin! Thank goodness you picked up," Mia spoke, relief filling her voice.
