REPORT SENT AT: 0912 GMT+2
SENDER: KAN-SEN USS GERALD R. FORD
STATIONED AT: [REDACTED], NORTH SEA OF GERMANY
CLASSIFIED//CLASSIFIED//CLASSIFIED//CLASSIFIED//CLASSIFIEDPoint of Interest: P.o.I Alpha, 'The Anomaly'
Location: [REDACTED], North Sea, GermanyDescription:
'The Anomaly' is a point of interest located at coordinates [][][][][][][], first reported on [][][][][][][][] by KAN-SEN FGS Sachsen and FGS Hamburg.
'The Anomaly' appears as a phenomenon resembling a singularity suspended within the air at an altitude of [][][][] over normal sea level. A majority of onlookers, upon establishing visual contact with the Subject, describe it as a 'Black Hole-like' formation, comparing it to 'those you would find in interstellar space'. However, certain key differences have been verified within the case of 'The Anomaly':
- Subject does not passively exert attracting gravity onto the surrounding water and air.
- Subject does not emit any kind of radiation or electromagnetic waves. (Exception: Incident [][][][][][][][][])
- Subject appears to be bound in some way to its current position, as it has remained absolutely stationary without showing any signs of movement.'The Anomaly' possesses an ability which will trigger once an individual enters into the proximity of [][] meters around the Subject.
Once triggered, the affected individual will be drawn into the center of 'The Anomaly' with great gravitational force until fully vanishing upon making contact with its 'Event Horizon'. Any and all individuals reaching this stage are to be deemed Missing In Action.Origin:
The origin of 'The Anomaly' is currently unknown. The affected location has been discovered by a German Navy Fleet comprised of KAN-SEN FGS Hessen, FGS Sachsen and FGS Hamburg after having been deployed to investigate anomalous activities within the affected area.
Upon encountering P.o.I Alpha, KAN-SEN FGS Hessen approached 'The Anomaly' far enough to enter within sufficient proximity to trigger its anomalous properties, subsequently drawing her in. A rescue attempt by KAN-SEN FGS Sachsen and FGS Hamburg was attempted but cancelled shortly afterward in order to prevent further losses, leading to KAN-SEN FGS Hessen vanishing upon making contact with 'The Anomaly''s Event Horizon.
As a result, FGS Hessen has been declared M.I.A for the time being.Operation Nighthawk:
The NATO Response Force has been alerted and has declared a [][][][][][][] exclusion zone around P.o.I Alpha 'The Anomaly', enforced by the deployment of Carrier Strike Group 12 to the location. Research efforts into the nature of 'The Anomaly' have been authorized and are focused onto the objective of recovering KAN-SEN FGS Hessen in any way possible. Developments will be reported as they occur.Additional/Personal notes USS Gerald R. Ford:
I feel incredibly sad for Sachsen and Hamburg. Losing one's sister with no way of knowing what happened is truly a cruel fate to experience. It is not surprising that they have been incredibly distraught about all of this - I can see the sadness in their eyes every time we meet. Hamburg, once incredibly prone to tease others, now speaks very coldly with everyone including myself, while Sachsen attempts to act as if everything is normal, even though I can still see her true emotional state through the cracks within the emotional facade she has built up.
The other German girls showed the complete opposite behavior of this - instead of letting their morale down, they were all filled with incredible fury at the fact that their sister-in-arms has been taken away, their spirits vengeful and burning. They are pretty much ready to do anything needed to get Hessen back, no matter how extreme - it is almost scary at how drastically their behavior has changed.
But still - never before has a NATO warship been declared Missing In Action in such a manner. I wish we could just pull her out of it, but like always, nothing is that simple.
I just hope we can find out about even a smidge of what we are truly dealing with. High Command authorized every single research ship available to carry out experiments once Project [][][][][][][][][][][] is complete.
Even now, mere hours after the incident, speculations and theories began running rampant. The most popular – and most hopeful – instance is the theory that 'The Anomaly' might be a wormhole – a phenomenon connecting two locations like a 'bridge'. A highly promising theory, and most likely the one with the highest survival chance for Hessen, no matter if it may seem miniscule in the first place. But the question is – what will we find out? Are our few hopes as foolish as they may seem in the first place?
