"Christmas morning all the kids bust into their parents room, hopping on the bed.
"Wake up! Wake up! Mommy it's Christmas!!" Josiah screamed as him and his three other siblings jumped on the bed.
"Mmm, y'all stop all that." Miranda groaned, pulling the covers over her head. What time was it?
"Come on mommy, daddy, we have to go open presents." Jocelyn shook them.
"What time is it?"
"Uhh, 5:43." Miranda pulled the covers down off her head quickly, glaring at them. No way they were up this early. The sun hadn't even begun to rise.
"It is too early, y'all go sit down somewhere. Ain't nobody in the house even up but yall."
"Awww, daddy can-
They were met with their dads bear snore. So much for him waking up. He could sleep through anything."
"Yeah, now go back to bed. You can go to sleep, watch tv, play, I don't care you can count the bumps on the ceiling. But don't come back in this room until 9 o'clock. You hear me?"
"But mommy that's so far-
"What did I just say." She spat through her teeth.
"Yes ma'am." They uttered quickly jumping off the bed. Scurrying back to their bedrooms they waiting out the next four hours. Four long boring hours. Jasmine was the clock watcher and as soon as the clock hit 9 she alerted the others and the barged back into their parents room.
"We're up, we know." Ben said rubbing his eyes. Miranda was already in the bathroom getting ready.
"Ooo oo oo, can we all wear matching pajamas and take pictures daddy. Pleaseeeeeeeeee." Jocelyn asked rocking back and forth.
"Everybody doesn't have matching pajamas baby."
"Awwww, can we go to the store and get some?" Jasmine asked, now intrigued by the idea.
"I don't know, ask your mom." They ran to the bathroom opening the door. Miranda looked over at them as she wiped her face with the damp, warm clothe.
"Mommy can you take us to the store to get everyone matching pajamas." Miranda looked out the bathroom to Ben sitting on the bed. They had a mental conversation back and forth.
I'm not taking them.
You sure as hell better.
I'm tired, you should have told them 11 not 9
That's too late
"When your sister gets here tell her to take you guys." Miranda answered.
"Can you call her now."
"Get my phone of the nightstand and call her." Jasmine the first one to grab and unlock it already knowing the password from all the games she played on the phone. Scrolling on the call log she found her sisters name. Putting it on speaker phone they listened as it wrung.
"Yes momma?"
"Hiii sisssyyy."
"Hii jasssy, what do you need?"
"Can you come get me and Jocelyn to get eveyone matching Christmas pajamas."
"Matching ch- why do we need matching Christmas pajamas?"
