Lucia pov,

I am sitting in the pit awaiting my turn to bat, I always felt sick before I was about to bat. Maybe I should-"LUCIA" I was interrupted by one of my best friends Hunter. "Huh," I said staring at my teammate standing at home plate with a bat. "Are you ready to bat, we are losing to Keyline prep". I hummed as I looked up to the scoreboard 6-5.

"Shit" I mumbled as one of our runners ran to the home plate giving us a point as the scoreboard changed from 6-6. Tied.

"No pressure Lucia but you are our last chance to make it to the finals." I let out a low groan as I heard my coach and my adoptive mom Eda call my name to bat. I nodded as I took a deep breath.

I walked up to the home plate with my bat and swung it over my shoulder waiting for the ball to be thrown at me, he threw the ball as I swung and barely missed it "STRIKE ONE" the referee yelled. I clenched my jaw as I brought back my bat over my shoulder again the ball flew at me as I swung way to late "STRIKE TWO" the referee yelled again.

I took a breath, breath in for 4 hold for 8, and out for 5. I felt stronger as I squinted my eyes at the pitcher and once again brought it over my shoulder one last time as the ball came at me I closed my eyes and swung everything went silent as I opened my eyes and saw I hit a home run. I was shocked but I dropped my bat and jogged to the second base, then the third base as everyone was chanting my name. Third base, I ran over to home plate as my teammates came out from the pit and put me in a group hug. Everyone complimented me, not going to lie it made me embarrassed. I escaped the hug as Hunter threw me in a headlock and put his fist in my hair messing it up.

"Oh my god fuck off Hunter," I said with a smile as I lightly pushed him away Eda stood in front of me as she reached up and patted my head "Good job kiddo," she said with her casual toothy smile. I smiled back "YO LUCIA"

I looked back to see my 2 other best friends Willow and Gus. "Lucia holy shit man that was awesome. " Willow said as my smile grew wider.

"Thank you, Willow-" I was cut off by Gus screaming while running up to me and hugging me. "What the shit Gus you scared the hell out of me," I say while grabbing my chest.

"LUCIA LUCIA LUCIA YOU HAVE TO TEACH ME HOW TO DO THAT," He said with a big smile on his face. "I tried but you got bored after your 2cd swing!" He put his finger on his chin tapping it while thinking "I don't remember that."

I laughed at his behavior, I waved bye "I'm going to take a shower I smell like horse shit." "BYE LUCIA" Gus called out ad I jogged to the girl's Locker room.

Amelia pov

I am sitting at my desk finishing the extra work that Mom tells the school to give me I look over to my textbook copying the sentence down into my notebook. I sigh as a knock is on the door "Come in" I say as my older siblings Emira and Edric step into my room "Hey mittens" they say in sync "Hey guys" I say as I put away my stuff and sit on my bed.

"How is homework going," Ed says as he walks over to my bookshelf and stares at all the books I have "Same as usual," I say with a sigh "I'm sorry sis" Em chimes in "It is whatever"

"We know but it still sucks that you have to do it," Em says as Ed backs away from my bookshelf and sits on my bed with me Em joining us a bit later. I stay quiet we talk for a little bit before they leave I get dressed in my red pajama shorts and a black tank top I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and put my hair up.

I walk over to my makeup desk and take a clean wipe and start to rub it on my face I throw it in the trash as I get up and turn of my light then I sit down on my bed why will I never be good enough for her. I say in my head, I love my siblings don't get me wrong, but I can't help but be a little mad at them they can do whatever they want and not get punished. Why am I not as pretty as 'Em or as charming as Ed I close my eyes as I feel sleep take over me.
