Kaede:

I rushed downstairs and put some toast in the toaster. I scrolled through my phone. I saw some pictures of Kokichi on social media. He always took weird pictures at weird angles. He confuses me. A lot. I giggled. My parents were already at work so I have the whole house until the bus arrives. I heard the toast pop up and ran over to the toaster. I got an avocado from the counter and cut it open. (Rantaro!? Is that you!? 😱)

After a little bit I started to pack my bag. "Hmm...binder? Check. Pencil box? Check. Phew...!" I was surprised by myself not forgetting anything. Well, I probably was. But oh well. I got my backpack and walked outside. The cool morning air felt so nice. I saw the bus arrive and got on. "Hey Kaede! How are you today?" Asked the bus driver. I'm surprised he knows everyone's names already. It's only the 3rd week! "I'm good, thanks!" I smiled. I went to the back of the bus. And after a couple of minutes a certain girl named Maki came on the bus. Frowning. She came and sat on the far end of the back seat. Basically as far away as she could get from me. "Hey Maki! How are you today?" I asked. She scoffed. "It's morning. The day just started. How would I know if I've only been awake for a few hours?" She said obviously mad I was talking.

We finally arrived at school and I went straight to my locker. I got all my stuff and waited for the bell. If was about, hmmm, five-ish minutes? Well anyway, I heard the bell and went to my 1st period class. Which was English. You know what strange though? You stay in 1 class the whole day. Unlike my middle school, we stay in a class room all day! Well, except for lunch and PE. I entered and sat down as the teacher greeted me. "Hello Kaede, how is your morning so far?" Asked Ms.Ikusaba. "I'm good, thank you!" I took out my notebook and decided to start a sketch.

At this point, basically the whole class was here. Since I was in the second row, I couldn't tell if anyone was missing. And I guess I'm just to lazy to turn around. Ms. Ikusaba started taking attendance and everyone said here until, "Maki Harukawa. Maki Harukawa?" She sighed and was about to put Maki as absent before someone slammed the door open. It was Maki. She was panting and really sweaty. "Here...." She said trying to catch her breath. Ms. Ikusaba sighed again and asked, "Maki, why are you always late!? This is the 2nd week you've almost missed attendance." Maki took her seat behind me and sighed.
