Hailey's POV
I was about to walk into the music room, expecting just a normal rehearsal like any other day. That's when Jake called me.
"Hey Hailey! Can you help me find something?" He asked me. "Yeah sure, what do you need to find?" I replied. "Oh, uhhhh nothing!" "How am I supposed to help you find something without even knowing what the fuck you're looking for?"
"Hailey! We don't use that language, I brought you into this world so I can take you out!" He pretended he was my mother. "Okay mum," I replied and playfully smiled. "Oh, I found it!" Jake exclaimed happily.
"Oh, that's great Jake but we really have to hurry and get to rehearsals," I reminded him. "Oh okay, we'll happy birthday! Open this when you get home," he handed me a gift. "Okay, thanks Jake!"
(Time skip) Hailey's House
I got home and remembered about the present.
I wonder why Jake wanted me to open it at home and not school, eh whatever.
I pulled the gift out of my bag and carefully opened it.
That's weird, why is there a card and a letter?
I decided to ignore Jakes strange antics and looked at the birthday card first. It was a normal birthday card and I decided to check out the letter.
Dear Hailey,
I know you may be thinking that it's weird that I put a letter and a card in here, but this letter serves an important purpose which I'm to scared to tell you about in real life.

Which I know sounds really cheesy, but it's true. I like you Hailey, not even that.. I'm in love with you Hailey, and have been since I joined the music club. I hope you at least understand how I feel or even feel the same way about me...

I was speechless. Jake had just confessed his love to me in a letter for my birthday. I liked him, a lot. I smiled, my mouth going from ear to ear. I didn't even realise the teddy bear in the box that he got me, I just instantly pulled out my phone and messaged him.
Hailey: Hey Jake, I saw your letter, I just wanted to let you know that I feel the same way. That was cheesy but at the same time way cuter than any other shit I've seen from you.
Jake: You feel the same way? Can you call me?
he wants to call me, that's okay I guess.
I call him.
"Hey Jake, sorry if I sound awkward right now haha.."
"That's okay princess, since you feel the same does that mean we are in a situation ship now or something?"
"Yeah I think.. Zander won't take this well haha"
"Oh, right.."
"Yeah haha"
"Shit, well I'm gonna die!"
"I have to go, bye Jake!"
I hang up.
I smile as well.
I can't believe he likes me!
