"Good morning, Ms. Andreasen," a voice came from the lobby of our office.
I turned to the voice and found Mr. Jones with his heartwarming smile.
"Greetings, Mr. Jones," I said cheerfully. and we walked towards the elevator and talked about office-related stuff.
"Are you excited about today?" Mr. Jones asked as we entered the elevator and pressed the top floor and second top floor of our company i.e. 13 and 12th floors.
"Of course! Who doesn't? Today is my big day" I said with so much determination and pride.
"I know, I know I have known you since your office's first day. you deserve all of this" he said with a chuckle and pride and that took me to the day I joined the ET Group of companies as a fresher who knew nothing about the cooperate world other than the theoretical aspects. but now I will be chosen as the chief technical architect of our department and all thanks to Mr. Jones. he is a middle-aged man who is very sweet and compassionate about his colleagues and always guides me whenever I need help in professional or in my personal space.
The ding-dong sound of the elevator disturbed my thoughts and I realized I had reached my floor. I gave Mr. Jones a small bow and said, "Bye, Mr. Jones," After that, I got out of the elevator and went to my cabin, where I overheard everyone talking in whispers. Maybe it's about my promotion, I thought. who gives a damn? Clearly, not me. Right now it's success, wealth, and power are the only things I'm looking forward to.
I then walked into my cabin after that. It was almost 9:30 a.m., so I set my handbag down on the desk and started going through my regular tasks. I checked my mail. Near midday had arrived. Following that, I heard a knock on the cabin door. It turned out to be the CEO's secretary. Mr. Aushton Hilton.
"Hello, Mr. Hilton. Is there anything I can do to help you? " I inquired, getting up from my seat.
" Yes! Ms. Andreson," he stated in a troubled tone.
I scowled at him and inquired, "What is it? Is everything all right?"
"yeah! Of course, it's just that the CEO wants to meet you," he said with the same worried expression.
"Oh okay! But for what?" I asked
"I'm not sure! and she needs you to come to her cabin immediately." He said this before leaving my cabin.
I signed and made my way to the 13th floor, which is the top floor. The majority of the company's daily operations are managed in this area. Mr. Jones works here. as the head of the administration.
It takes a lot of luck, dedication, and hard work to work in this organization and on this floor. I'll be promoted to chief technical architect on this level today. I just hope everything goes well with the CEO. I went to the reception and asked Ms. Rose to notify the boss of my arrival. She quickly made a call and kindly asked me to go inside. I thanked her and went inside the CEO's cabin.
