Is this really a coincidence or a destiny I questioned myself? However, I'm not the one to expose my frailty to others, especially not to him. I so responded with the utmost confidence.

"Tsk, just a coincidence".

" well, Ms. Andreson, welcome board" he had mischievous grin on his lips.

" Thank you!" I responded.

" Ok then, as an occasion of welcoming Ms. Andreson, lets celebrate with team lunch . What say?" He asked looking at my team and me. With a very generous smile and only I know the hidden meaning of that smile.

Poor people, they think this Mr Parker is some saint who is treating us meal but little they know is he don't give a fuck about them or even me.

" Thank you for your generosity Mr. Parker, but we really have very important things to do. I reasoned out.

But I think my teammates have death wish to seek. "Ms. Andreson, this is the only important thing for today," they gushed together right away.

I screeched my head looking at their excitement.

" Then it's settled then, right Ms. Andreson." Samuel said with challenging look.

"Yeah, cool with me" I said. I don't want to lose my face in front my colleagues, and particularly on my first day. Not a chance.

Here we are, in a posh restaurant in the city, and you can guess who picked the location: Samuel Parker.

I didn't know he was into these fancy things. I was the one into fancy things, I always dreamt of fancy cars, restaurants and mansion, a perfect luxurious life with my hard earned money. But not him, he always talked about simple life, with limited amount of money to sustain and living a lowkey life. I know we are poles apart, but that's what I liked about him his care free nature. But something has changed, is he changed or is it just my imagination.

He was requesting a waiter to arrange the tables when I glanced at him. He evolved! not only physically but also-I'm not sure-in a few other ways.

We all seated in our seats and waiter took our orders, and everyone was talking about their jobs, personal life etc etc, which I'm just pretending to be listening. Then my eyes went on to the person who is right opposite to me. He was staring at me and not even blinking. It was so awkward but I tried to ignore.

'Just a little bit more Liza you will be out of this'. I tried to console myself

And with that I eventually done with day and headed home just to find my sweetest neighbour in the hallway waiting for something I guess! Well, I tried to ignore him and headed towards my apartment.

"Lisa!" He called. Oh! he was waiting for me.

"Yes?" I turned and questioned. I had enough for this day.

"I wanna talk to you." He stated.

"And, I don't" I responded.

"Please Liza. At least listen to me." He begged.

" what do u wanna talk about? About how you deceived me and got away." I almost shouted at him. "Sorry, but I can't give you that happiness Mr. Parker. You can have your ugly explanation to yourself, I'm least concerned." I continued.

He was stunned at his place with loss of words, staring at me with guilt I guess. Saying that I started moving towards my apartment but suddenly he pinned me on to the nearest wall, caging me with his arms. His breath fanned over my cheeks and the position was very intimate and I started losing my senses.

" I know, I have done so wrong to you and I'm sorry for that. If you're not concerned with my apology and my explanation then, it's fine! I won't give you one to care about because all I care about is just you! And I will win you over again and we will be one this time! And mark my words we will be together forever and ever!" And saying this he left me and moved towards his apartment leaving me in utter shock.

I was standing in the hallway, replaying the things that happened just a second ago. Well, I was in a mess was an understatement. But , what's more amusing is his words ' mark my words we will together forever and ever' what does he mean?
