Chapter III: A Beatdown Worth Two Hundred Mudas

"W-What?! The King of the Pirates?!" Zora's eyes widened in shock once she heard your captain's aspiration. "Do you even know what that means?! What it entails?!"

"King of the Pirates is King of the Pirates!" Luffy giggled like the crucified pirate hunter was speaking absolute nonsense. Well, she probably understood the question but decided to be obtuse in classic Luffy fashion, so you were chuckling to yourself at the befuddled face of Zora. "Are there any other meanings?"

Everyone in the area were shocked at hearing such a bold proclamation by the future pirate king. The only ones that weren't even remotely shocked were you and Koby, but since you were her crew member and childhood friend, it was quite obvious that you would already know what her hopes and dreams were.

"No need to be so shocked, I'm certain an overwhelming amount of people have wanted to become the King of the Pirates, too." Nibbling on the feather of your pencil, you watched as Zora's eyes flickered over to you after her initial shock.

"I was shocked, too!" Koby said as he looked on to Luffy with awe. "But Miss Luffy is serrious! That's how she is! She intends to become the King of the Pirates and obtain this world's ultimate treasure... the One Piece!"

Her eyes cycled between Koby, Luffy, and you before she finally sighed and hung her head. "You guys are lunatics..."

"Hahaha! Well, that's a good thing sometimes, right, Lu?" Luffy nodded enthusiastically at your words, then you presented Zora with the three swords you had taken from blondie's room. "So, here's your stuff. Which one's yours? He had these three in his room so I just took 'em all since I wasn't sure which one to take."

"All three are mine." She explained, and then your brows furrowed at the implication. Did she have one as backup or...? Then, she answered as if she knew what you were thinking. "I use the Three-Sword Style."

"Where does... where does the third one go?" You were absolutely gobsmacked, not understanding the feasibility of using three swords at once. How was she supposed to wield the last one anyways? Up her asscheeks? "Do you-?"

"So, you'll take 'em, right?!" Luffy interrupted your question with joy as she looked at Zora with a massive grin on her face. "If we fight together now, you'll be a government-defying villain! Would you prefer that, or being killed by the navy like this?"

Chuckling to herself, Zora shook her head as she looked at the two of you looking at her with sly smiles. "What are you guys, the devil's children? Well, whatever. I'll be your pirate, if I'm just gonna die here instead!"

"Hurray! You hear that, (Y/n)?! She's gonna join our crew!" Luffy latched onto you and cheered, and you were right there along with her, cheering at the addition of a new crew member to you group of pirates. "This is great! Woo-hoo! Alright!"

"Alright, alright! Now untie these stupid ropes already!"

"Oh, right! (Y/n)! Go untie her!" Luffy ordered as she removed herself from you like a koala falling off a tree. You raised your brow as you gave your captain the swords you were holding onto while you went and did as she ordered.

"Why do I have to do the dirty work? Come on, Lu..." Complaining as you tug on the knots that bound Zora, you fake cried as you did your job.

"I'm the captain! Hihi~!"

"Unfair!"

"Hurry! Hurry!" Koby, looking on with nervousness, exclaimed as he looked at the marines off in the distance.

"Come on, (Y/n)! Hurry up! I know you're faster than this!"

"What am I supposed to do, super-speed these knots away?" You grit your teeth as you pull harshly on the knot, your feet planted firmly on the log post at a ninety degree angle as you pulled with all your might. "It's really hard to do these, okay?!"
