It's a beautiful day. Nami's reading a book, lounging on a beach chair, Usopp's cleaning his slingshot, and Zora's sleeping atop the lounge room's roof. So where were you and Luffy? Well...
"I really don't think we should... Are you sure?"
"Mhm!"
"Super sure?"
"Super sure!"
"And this isn't just one of your whims?"
"Nope!"
"But why?"
"Because!"
"That's... not an answer, Lu."
"Well, what do we have to lose, right?"
"I dunno, our lives?!" You sigh out, looking at a large crate that quite literally had the word 'DANGER' plastered all over it. "It could be explosive! We do something wrong, boom, fiery death. We do it right, boom, still a fiery death!"
"Oh, don't be a wuss, (Y/n)! Come on! I'll... carry... it...!"
"As much as I think this isn't a good idea, you look like you're having trouble, Lu." You snicker, and she glared at you before continuing to walk while carrying the crate. "Want me to help you?"
"No... thank you...!" She breathed in, stomping her way up the stairs. "I've.... got this...!"
You followed right behind her, and as the two of you reached the deck, she dropped it near immediately, startling the two that were still awake.
"Phew! This sure is heavy!"
"You know I could've just lifted it for you, right?"
"This much is nothing! I gotta grow big and strong if I wanna beat you!"
"W-What's that?" Nami asked as she put down her book.
"We found it in the storeroom. Hopefully we don't all explode and die from it." You explain, hiding behind Luffy as they removed the lid.
"They're cannonballs!" Nami exclaimed, and you got out from your position from behind your captain with a sigh of relief.
"Oh, so that's what was inside!" Luffy laughed, looking at you with a cheeky smile. "Guess someone was afraid of nothing!"
"Hey! Not my fault I don't wanna die a fiery death with torn limbs!"
"Heh. Oh, right! We finally got a cannon, so let's do some practice!"
"Then just leave it to me!" Usopp said as he walked over, posing as though he was reminiscing something from the past. "I believe it was when I was three that I jumped on a cannonball flying my way and traveled halfway around the world!"
"So, how do you work this thing, (Y/n)?"
"I dunno, Lu. I'm not a cannoneer."
"Hey, listen to me!"
"Hey, Zora! You know how to shoot this?!"
"Asleep. She's just been asleep constantly!" Nami complained, reading her book.
"She's no fun..."
"Well, I think it's pretty understandable." You nod understandingly. "Sleep is great."
"You know, just to the south there's a reef that'd make for perfect target practice!" Nami relayed the information over to your captain, who looked over to her with a massive smile.
"Really?! Then what are we waiting for, let's go!"
"Hey! You're not gonna go fire that cannon without me! You know they used to call me Cannon Master Usopp?! Hahaha!"
