I wake up to being gently shook awake, "Lilly were here" Nick said, I sat up and saw my house, we all got out, Nick and Kayla went straight in while me and Jake just stood in the drive way looking up at the house, "are you ready?" I ask him, he shakes his head, "you?" He asks, "no" I said, he picks up his bags and walks inside, I follow behind walking in to see it clean as usual, mom hated when the house was dirty, I walk upstairs and see there bedroom door open, I walk over looking inside, the bed was all messy like they had just slept in it, moms sweater was sitting on the bed, I walk over picking it up it still smelled like her perfume, "you ok?" Kayla asks from the door way, tears form in my eyes, "not really" I gave her a sad smile, she came over hugging me, I hug her back as tears roll down my cheeks, "it's like they were just here, and now there just gone" I sniffle looking around, "come on" she said pulling me out the room after setting the sweater back on my parents bed, she closes the door and guides me back to my room, "I'm sleeping in Jakes rooms, but if you want me to switch with Nick-" "what do you mean Switch with Nick?" I ask, "he's bunking in your room, Jake made him promise to sleep on the floor" Kayla said rolling her eyes, "do you want me to switch? Because I can-" "no it's ok, don't worry about it" I gave her a small smile and sat on my bed, "I think Jake and Nick were talking about possibly watching a movie tonight if you wanna join" she said, "I don't really feel up to it, I'm just gonna go for a run" I said and she left, I rummage through my clothes for something to wear for a run, I finally pull out some clothes, right as I was about to take off my shirt Nick walks in with his bags, "sorry, was just putting my stuff away" he said, "are you ok?" He asked I scoff, "I really need people to stop asking me that" I said and sat on the bed, "sorry, I'll stop" he said and sat next to me, "I only ask cause im worried about you, I hear you almost every night crying or waking up screaming, I stay up just in case you need me" he said, I look up at him, "Nick, you don't have to worry about me ok? Im fine" I said, "your not, but I'm always here for you" he said taking my hand in his, "I'm gonna change and go for a run" I said pulling my hand away, and standing up, "ok we're gonna watch a movie, if you need us just call" he said and walked out, I sighed not wanting to rush into having sec of getting involved with Nick, my parents just died now is a horrible time to even think about it, I quickly get dressed and put my hair in a pony tail

I run downstairs slipping on my running shoes, I walk out while putting my earbuds in my ear, I put my phone in my bra and start jogging down the street, I don't know how long I jogged for until I finally sat down on a bench in the park taking a deep breath, and hunching over, I hear muffled talking when someone touches my shoulder, I jump up only to trip and fall on my ass, I look up covering the sun with my hand, I take out my ear buds, "Lilly?" A guy said, and than I saw his face "Devin" I said as he grabbed my hand helping me up, "long time no see" he said chuckled, "yeah" I give him a small smile feeling my cheeks heat up, "yeah you kinda just left without saying anything to anyone but Kayla said you went to that school with your brother" he said, "uh yeah, I did, it's not much different from here" I let out a small laugh, "well you look good, you came to visit your parents?" He asked, and than I was brought back to reality, "something like that" I said crossing my arms, "yo! Devin!" Someone called out running over to us, "holy shit is that LillyPad?!" Fredrick said picking me up spinning me in a hug, making me laugh, suddenly he puts me down grabbing my shoulders, "Nick told me about your parents" he said giving me a sad look, "Freddy please don't" I said looking down, "why didn't you call me? When's the funeral?" He asked, "shit, I didn't know, I'm sorry" Devin said, "it's ok, I wasn't really planning on seeing anyone here anyways-" "of course you weren't" I heard a female voice, one of my close friends Paige, she pulled me into a hug, "how are you?" She asks, "I've been better" I sighed, "what are you all doing here?" I ask confused, "you do realize school is literally down the street" she pointed out, "right I forgot, I was distracted" I said, "oh my gosh, you have to come to the party tonight" Paige said, "I can't the funeral is tomorrow morning and than I got to meet with a lawyer-" "come on Lillypad! You don't gotta drink, just come hang" Fredrick said, I sigh, "alright fine, just let me text Nick" I said pulling out my phone, "Nick? Since when do you go to him?" Devin asked, I clear my throat not awsnering and call Nicks number, "Lilly? Are you okay? Do you need me to come get you?-" "Nick relax I'm fine, I'm with some old friends, I'm gonna stay with them until later tonight, just wanted to tell you so you don't get worried" I said, my eyes meet a suspicious Devin, "ok, what friends?" He asked, "Paige, Devin, and Fredrick" I said, "Devin? The one you had a crush on?-" "Okay! I'll see you later, bye!" I said loudly hoping they didn't hear that and hung up, Paige and Fredrick smirked at me, and I see a huge smile on Devin, a blush crept onto my face, "ok let's go get you dressed up lil mama" Paige said pulling my wrist, "see you guys there!" She called out.
