Lucy had been in Woodbury for a week now, getting to know what this place was like. Sadly her siblings and friends were not there however she hoped that maybe, just like she, that they would come across it, to the place where people went when they were gone. The leader of the group was known as the Governor, a name she wasn't really a fan of, nor was he, supposedly.

Within Woodbury there were men, women, children and the elderly that resided there. Around 50 people, which was an easy number to manage. The walls were high and they had constant patrols day and night. She had heard that there were still breaches however that wasn't exactly unheard of.

The Governor had a strict curfew, no one unless authorised personnel were allowed out after dark, noise and light were to be kept to a minimum. Kids were to go to school and the adults had jobs to do. Lucy had not yet been given a job, she was waiting for the Governors lieutenant to return from a supply run.

Lucy laid on her bed in her own little apartment as she thought about her siblings, hoping and praying that they were still out there. It was odd hearing nothing. She was used to hearing some sort of conversation or argument by someone at the farm, even before Rick's group showed up. She soon let sleep wash over, closing down her mind along with her thoughts that were becoming out of control.

-

The next day Lucy was getting dressed when she heard a knock at her door. "Just a minute!" She yelled as she tied her black slim fit cargos and pulled on her boots, grabbing a t-shirt on the way to the door. The door however opened as she was pulling on her shirt "Jesus christ" She yelled and shoved the t-shirt on quickly, seeing a nearly bald, redneck looking man with one hand standing at her door.

"What a lovely first sight" The man spoke with a grin, practically drooling at the girl.

"Fuck off" She barked at the man.

"Ooo, she's feisty, even better" He laughed "Governor sent me, he thinks you'd be best working with me"

"Great" She rolled her eyes with a scoff and grabbed her jacket "What we doing then?" She asked "Been bored shitness in this place"

"You won't be bored for long sweetheart" He grinned "Names Merle by the way"

"Lucy" She nodded at the man, the name sounding oddly familiar to her as she put her hand out to shake his, feeling awkward when there was no hand to shake.

Merle simply chuckled "Don't worry. Happens all the time." He mused.

Merle led Lucy outside and towards the armoury, the streets filled with people without a care in the world. She had to hand in her weapons when she arrived which she didn't particularly like however she did so anyway, holding out hope that her siblings were there. Lucy looked around the armoury, impressed by what they had collected, much better than anything Rick had pulled together.

"This is just the start" Merle spoke "We go out most days looking for supplies and people, mostly guns though"

"Don't you think you have enough guns already? Leave some out there for people who need it" Lucy shrugged and looked over at Merle who didn't seem too keen on what she had just said.

The redneck looked at her with a puzzled expression "Lesson number one, sweetheart. These days, ya can never have enough guns" He said in a serious tone, his expressions monotonous before he broke out in a crude smirk "Now, come on. We are off to find some more guns" He said, ushering for her to come with him.

"Do I get my shit back?" She asked the man, already wanting to smack his crude smirk from his face.

"Take what you need sweetheart" He gestured with his stump to the array of weapons behind him. Lucy did just that, taking back her knives and gun and following him towards the wall, joining a few other men. "Boys this is Lucy, she's going to be joining us today, make sure you show her the ropes" He smirked, patting Lucy on the back with his actual hand.
