He kept staring at Percy, he was pale, sitting on the floor, but extremely calm, despite the situation, he even finished eating the damned pomegranate, while Darab was freaking out.
"This is not good, this is not good, what are we going to do no? This is against....nature, he can't stay here, at least not while being alive!" he kept saying, walking up and down, as if he was joining a race. Then he suddenly stopped and the way he looked at the human almost scared him.
" Of course, he has to die! We have to kill him, yes, yes! An alive human is not allowed here, but he's stuck here, so before something bad happens, we have to kill him!"
He didn't know what the soul wanted to do, but he stopped him before he could reach the human.
"No," he said with a firm voice.
"But-"
" I said NO!" he screamed, making everything shake.
"I'm sorry", said Darab, bowing to him.
"He'll stay here, alive, while I'll figure out what to do with him", he exclaimed, looking at the boy.
The truth was that he had no idea what to do with him. Underworld had few rules, but they were strict and unbreakable.
One of those was that whoever ate something from it was damned to be stuck there forever. A rule that he had never thought about before, first of all, because he would have never imagined an alive human there, and second thing because since everyone there was dead, and he was a god, there was no food that someone could eat.
In one day all those things that always seemed impossible to him became reality and a part of him was still suspicious about a possible part of his brothers and sisters in all that mess.
" Listen, Hades,i...i'm sorry", he was so busy with the hundreds of thoughts in his mind that he didn't realize the human left his place and he was now behind him.
He was mad at him, he was furious with him, but he couldn't help but feel guilty. If Percy was there it was because of him. It was true that he brought him there to save him from the strigas, but all that also happened because he decided to leave his reign for him, to have a closer and better look at a human who took his breath away.
But he would have never admitted it, to anyone. That was his secret, his shame.
" I didn't want to cause you troubles, i mean it."
He turned around to face him.
" I swear i won't bother you, i will behave, i won't touch or eat anything else, i will do everything you'll say."
Damn, he was so beautiful, he thought, looking at his face, where he noticed something red near his lower lip, the pomegranate.
"You're good with words, human," he said, bringing his hand to Percy's face, cleaning him with a finger, his skin was so soft: " But we both know that you can't behave."
He realized his hand was still touching Percy's face when Darab suddenly appeared and he felt his judgemental gaze on him.
"Darab, we have to find a place for him to sleep, and something to eat." he said, walking away:"Think about it, I'm sure you will have brilliant ideas."
"Wait, where are you going?" he asked.
"To talk with someone."
