How I wish people see the real me!
The me that has been hiding inside
I try my best to make them see
But it all seems like I've lied

It's so great to be me!
It is something that only I can imagine
The second face people see
Is only what they can examine

I love being myself
Even though people think I'm proud
I won't sing on a different clef
All because they said it's loud
I'll just pretend I'm deaf
And ignore the crowd

People think I like to impress
But I can't express
The way they suppress
The me empress

If I remove my disguise
I would be despised
But I still need to show the real me or else I'll blow

Oh!
How great it is to be me
It is the greatest thing I've ever been
Even though there is a part in me you have never seen
I'll finally consider that the greatest thing about me is To Be Me!
