Two: Attack of the Wapol Pirates

"She needs medical attention as soon as possible," Vivi said in a nerve wrecked tone as she, Sanji, and Karoo all looked at Nami, who was still burning up and having a hard time breathing. "I know Mirai knows what she's doing, but at this rate, she won't last much longer." Sanji sighed to himself in a sad tone. All he had to do was have faith in Mirai.

Back on the Merry's main deck, Usopp and Luffy were asking Zoro if he saw this Drum Island that Mirai was referring to. As for Mirai, the dragon hybrid, she was at the stern of the ship, letting the snow fall on her hands. It had been forever since she last felt the snow fall onto her skin. Usopp shoved Luffy, asking him if he was insane after when the rubber boy asked Zoro if he saw any islands in the distance. "Hey. Do you think it's weird to see people on the water?" Zoro asked from above. "I don't think so?" Luffy asked. "That's such a stupid question what gives?" Usopp asked.

Mirai gasped and recgonized the figure on the water. "Look!" she exclaimed. The two boys turned to see the person on the water, a bit of a surprised look on Usopp's face. She wasn't joking. There really was someone on the water. They were wearing a jester suit of some kind. Who are they? Luffy thought with a stern tone in his voice as the group stared at the person. Usopp was also just as lost as Luffy as the two rubbed their eyes, thinking that it was all a mirage. It wasn't. A person actually was standing on the water.

"Hello! Sure is chilly today isn't it?" the person asked. Zoro didn't know what to say, but Mirai recgonized the figure as she stepped away from the stern. "Not gonna lie, it is a bit chilly out," Luffy agreed. "Yeah. It's chilly. So chilly to the point that it's freezing!" Usopp exclaimed. The person looked shocked and he replied, "Really?" As soon as they heard the person talk, Luffy, Usopp, Zoro, and even Mirai all gained surprised looks on their faces, despite Mirai recognizing the man.

Before Mirai could scream, a warship then appeared from out of the waters, causing the ship to rock back and forth. "What is that?! A watermelon?!" Luffy exclaimed in terror as he and Usopp tried to grab onto something. "No. Worse. A Wapol warship!" Mirai screamed. It was no wonder she recgonized the man from before. "That's...A PIRATE SHIP?!" Usopp exclaimed as the warship transformed into its full glory. Zoro scoffed from his post. "And we were in a hurry..." he muttered. Mirai nodded and said, "They're the Wapols, dreaded pirates who terrorized my home island!"

Luffy looked over at her. "YOU KNOW THESE GUYS?!" he exclaimed, making her nod. Soon, a voice spoke from the warship: "What's the matter? Did our prized warship, the Tin Tyrant, surprise you?" Mirai hissed and snarled as she screamed, "King Wapol! I should of known it was you!" At the hearing of his name, King Wapol came onto the stern of the Tin Tyrant, meat in his hand. Sanji happened to rush out to see what the commotion was all about. "What's going on?" he asked lighting a cigar.

"Well...we're under attack, and Mirai knows these guys," Luffy explained to Sanji. Soon enough, they were surrounded by Wapols, making Sanji sigh and say, "Yeah. The guns in my face was a dead giveaway." King Wapol continued to laugh as he said, "How amusing. You call yourself a band of pirates, yet I only see five members. All including the Winter Dragon: Tatsumi Mirai. I welcome you home my dear. I find it strange that your group would have very few members."

Mirai hissed as King Wapol ate his entire blade, freaking the Straw Hats out. Well, except for the hybrid. She was used to it. "So, we'll make this simple. We want to get to the Drum Kingdom. You wouldn't happen to have an Eternal or Log pose wou-" the king was cut off by Mirai who hissed, "NO! YOU STAY AWAY FROM MY HOME AND ITS PEOPLE!" That made him chuckle and say, "What's this? The Winter Dragon so desperate to protect what she loves? I bet even your stupid mentor couldn't save you now."

This made her mad as she hissed again, "YOU KEEP HIM OUT OF THIS!" Luffy could tell that Mirai was so focused on protecting her home, yet that was the place they were heading to. He had to protect her and prevent any more ruckus from happening. "Well now that all of that is settled, can you guys leave? We're kind of in a hurry and we don't have time to deal with all of you," he said annoyed. King Wapol just chuckled again in response. "Looks like I have no choice but to salvage your ship, your treasure, and the Winter Dragon. First, I could use lunch!" Wapol then exclaimed as he took a huge chuck out of the Merry, freaking everyone out.
