1046 Hours
Thanksgiving DayOf course, with his luck, EM-37 fell into another dream while he was freezing to death out in the snow driven forest. He found himself back in Helix, kneeling on the floor with his legs crossed messing around with a piece of paper and multiple crayons sitting about around him. He was drawing in stick figures, but he knew exactly what it was. He even put names above them to tell the difference.
Once he was done, he looked up to see a man in a white lab coat muttering a song to himself at his desk, tapping away on his computer. He stood tall with dark hair, a scraggly beard, and thick framed glasses. EM-37 knew that it was immediately Doctor Blackwell, his previous physician before Doctor Howard.
EM-37 got up from his spot on the floor and walked over to Doctor Blackwell to show him what he drew. Showing the drawing like it was a masterpiece.
"Mister Blackwell, look what I drew!" He exclaimed, not understanding the proper way of saying Doctor Blackwell's name.
The doctor turned around and he looked down at the paper. It was a stick figure drawing of him and EM-37 holding hands and smiling, standing in a hallway for what a child can draw.
Doctor Blackwell smiled at that as he took the drawing and held it as if it was the most delicate thing in the world.
"Oh wow . . . E, this is great!"
"Do you like it?" He asked hopefully.
"I love it. I'll put this on my filing cabinet."
With that, he placed it to the side and he got up from his seat to watch EM-37 draw something next for him. Kneeling down next to him as EM-37 started to scribble madly on the paper. It was like this for a time, with EM-37's physician for a few hours and just doing playtime stuff.
He was attempting to draw something else when the door opened, and Doctor Simmons walked inside with several files in her hand. She looked a lot younger and stress free, but still stern in her expression.
"Hello, Doctor Blackwell," she said to him.
Doctor Blackwell cleared his throat and he stood up before dusting off his lab coat.
"Hello, Olivia. Can I help you with anything?"
"I was wondering if we can have our discussion outside if you will?"
Doctor Blackwell looked uneasy about that and he looked down at EM-37 who had stopped drawing to listen to them.
"It'll only be a moment," she informed, and Doctor Blackwell sighed softly before letting EM-37 know that he'll be back in just a minute and to stay where he was.
With that they both walked outside and infront of the window where EM-37 could perfectly see them, but not hear them. Whatever they were talking about seemed to be pretty heated, because whatever Doctor Simmons said to him made him furrow his brows and reply back sharply. After that, Doctor Simmons said something in her usual condescending manner before handing him the file and turning away and down the hall.
Doctor Blackwell sighed, and looked over at EM-37 through the glass. A saddened look was on his face, before everything then dissolved into black smoke, then forming into a different scene. He was once again in space full of stars and dust, zooming at the speed of light.
