2. Arranged Marriage

As soon as the allegedly 'perfect' and wealthy Alpha-Omega couple of the Liu family arrived home, they silently strode inside, gave one another a look, and then nonchalantly broke away from each other's "intimate" hold.

Liu Zheng and Yan Xin were born from a wealthy family who only got married for the sake of alliance, and ended up having two twins because they HAD to.

Liu Zheng is a famous entrepreneur, establishing one successful label and five different branch companies that promotes variety of business brand.

As the eldest son of an old tycoon, and being an Alpha at that, he had received strict education from his hired tutors as a child 'till he graduated from a prominent private university and started working as his father's secretary for eight years before he finally seated at the CEO's desk and his father retired at the age of 65.

For another eight years, Liu Zheng lived his life akin to that of a monk, and only buried himself to his laptop and paperwork, never even thinking of seeking pleasures aside from work nor having ever embraced a naked Omega to satiate his monthly rut.

He was like a robot, endlessly working until doing his paperwork has nearly become his first nature aside from acting human even once, because not even once, his subordinates and employees, nor even his parents and siblings have ever seen him residing in a different place other than his office and the CEO's desk. There are even times his old father regretted the way he disciplined his eldest child in the past.

It eventually gets to the point where Liu Zheng's omega father had no choice but to arrange a marriage to his son, despite knowing that his son never dated anyone before which must mean that Liu Zheng already planned ahead on dying virgin, and so he knew that this decision may upset his son a lot. But what can he do? His son's repetitive life of "sleeping, eating, going to work, work, work, work, work, sleeping, work" is already concerning him a lot and he started to wonder about his son's mental health.

Every human should have their source of happiness, and although Liu Zheng seemed dedicated in his work, looking at those head ache inducing documents should not be making him happy at all. (the omega father had been pampered all his life by his old husband so he still doesn't understand why all bosses love to work on their papers so much.)

After having an agreement with Liu Zheng's old father, which the old man agreed unhesitatingly not only due to the fact that he always complies with whatever his wife says, he also starts to worry about his eldest son's condition. Yan Xin married Liu Zheng a month later.

Yan Xin is also a boss of his own company.

Yan Xin, the youngest child of the Yan family, who formed his own restaurant chain due to his love of food, is an Omega who always causes concerns from his parents as well.

Yan Xin is a silent person, never even bothering voicing out his problems to his parents until it happens on its own, such when they learned that one of the chefs from his restaurant embezzled half of their earnings one night, but Yan Xin never said anything to them.

When Yan Xin was still in highschool, he offended a spoiled young master Alpha who had just confessed their love to him, only to punch Yan Xin afterwards as soon as he heard the omega respond to his confession, "I don't even know you." and when he got home, he asked his chauffeur and driver to help him climb at the third floor where his bedroom is located to prevent his parents from seeing his nose bleeding right away.

Yan Xin doesn't want his problems to cause worry to anyone. He thought it would only incite more trouble to him in the end and he'll have to deal with that as well. Unfortunately, Yan Xin's parents have long realized their youngest child's character and so Yan Xin never escaped the worried interrogations from his parents.

Yan Xin led his life slowly and quietly like a sloth, dealing with his problems calmly as though he was only helping an acquaintance who just suffered from it.

Regarding his relationship.... like Liu Zheng, he also seemed to have already decided it was fine for him to grow old without experiencing his very first kiss yet.

He dealt with his monthly heat as though he had just gotten a fever. Yan Xin would endure his sudden urge to have sex, take medicine, sleep for four hours and as soon as he can't feel the bare minimum of sexual desires anymore, he will go down to the kitchen to start experimenting for new dessert recipes, his face still looking slightly red and sweaty.

Liu Zheng, on the other hand, only thought he'd be wasting such valuable time staying cooped in his room, either masturbating or bedding an Omega when his rut comes, when he still had thousands of stack folders to scan through that may still take him more than decades to finish, ahead the deadline if he were to choose to 'procrastinate'. As they say, "time is money", and so he'd just take his work at home and do it in his home office, while he would constantly rub his two legs beside his crotch due to discomfort.

Both were literal nonhuman, living their life almost in the same dull and colorless manner. Having been married to each other, their family members and relatives, even the public thought how they're such a match made in heaven.

Two years after marriage, after the two had done the deeds for the first time because they have been constantly pressed with the matter of the Liu family's future heir― First kiss [check ✔], first sex [check ✔], first child (or twin) [check ✔], dying virgin [mission failed successfully ✔], yet the two still seemed to be thinking that marrying one another and having a child was still their job.

At home they will treat each other cordially, never even having shown affections to one another, not even a kiss on the cheek the moment they wake up, a hug, nor at least calling each other with outdated 'Honey' or 'Darling' pet names. They won't even hide their loveless marriage from their confused twin who eventually got used to the way their parents acted with each other. "As long as mom and dad are always together!~ And at least we're always going on shopping, eating out, picnics and vacation together!~", quoted by the children. On the contrary, if their parents suddenly started acting affectionate, the children would certainly cringe at the sight.

Outside, in front of the cameras, they will embrace each other. Inside, even in front of their children, they will nod their head to each other like they're only acknowledging one's presence.

It was as though after being married for almost 9 years and having a twin together even, although their relationship started off due to alliance, love still hasn't bloomed within the two yet.

The public thought they were an ideal Alpha-Omega couple.

Their relatives thought they're constantly suffering in this marriage.

What about the two?

How do the two apathetic couple view their relationship?

Well, surprisingly.

They thought they had become friends.
