1st person POV

When I was seven years old my dad got sick and later passed away. After that Mom worked super hard to support us, my mom was pregnant with Tohru when dad died so Tohru didn't get to meet him unfortunately, but even throughout that Mom continued to support us. When I was old enough, I helped out whenever i could. I helped with chores, cooking, just thing to make life a bit easier for mom.

"(Y/n) Honey, Mumma's hungry." Mom pouts while hugging me.

Mom has always just been there. Always been by my side. Hugging me, protecting me, loving me. And when Tohru came along it was the same. Mom loved us dearly as we did her.

My little sister Tohru has always been by my side as well. From the day she came into the world she would always follow me. Similar to a little duckling would their mom. Mom would record the moments where she would just waddle around, following me. But I didn't mind, not one single bit. Looking after Tohru was never a chore for me. To me it was a blessing.

Mom was always there to protect us. She was so strong. So cheerful. I never thought someone like her.....would die in an accident like that......with Tohru.....so...suddenly.

Everyone argued in who should take me in. But in the end my Grandpa was the one to do it.
Grandpa was living on a pension so I thought it would be best to pay my own intuition so I wouldn't bother anyone.

"Dinners ready Grandpa."
"Thankyou my dear Kyoko."
"It's not a problem at all Grandpa and it's (Y/n)"

That all happened in May

"Kyoko dear, My daughter and her family are going to be moving in here but first i'm having some renovations , so I plan to stay with them for a bit. I suppose we can both live at their place until the construction is finished. But it's just so small. If you have a good friend you can stay with instead that may be more comfortable for you."

'Uo-chan lives in a tiny apartment. And Hanajima's a family of five. There's no way i can stay with them for months...So..'

"That's fine Grandpa!"

'Afterall I'm gonna live on my own eventually. This is a chance to see if i'm up to the challenge!'

2nd person POV

"Even if the only place I can live in is a tent I bought on sale! Even if typhoons like the one a few days ago threatened to blow me away. I'll never give up, no matter how small and flimsy, anywhere can be home once you get use to it!" You yelled out while scrubbing the windows at the work place aggressively.

After work was finished for the day you tiredly made your way back to your tent. Stumbling on your way there, you felt a bit hot, hotter than usual and your face was sweating and red. You were dizzy,  constantly swaying with each step and nearly tripping over your own feet but you chalked it up as tiredness from a long day at work, and that compared with the heat was bound to make you a little tired right?

You make it to your tent and crouched down, unzipping it.
"Hey Mom." You say as you crawl into the tent while smiling at the photograph. "Today's been a long day and i'm feeling sleepy." You say softly while turning on a light that was hung up.
"But i still have some homework to finish before tomorrow." You sigh softly, but the small smile never left your face. "I'm feeling a bit lightheaded though" You say bringing a hand up to your forehead.
"But don't worry Tohru, I will remember to tell you a bedtime story before bed like always." You say as you grab a small towel. "But first I'll wash my face." You say as you turn and go to head out of the tent with a towel in your arms.
"That should wake me up- Huh?"
