EPISODE 5 ↬ I've been fooling myself FULL EPISODE

2nd Person POV

"My Grandpa called, he said the renovations are finished and that I can come back now." You said as you sit in front of Shigure in the dining room. Kyo and Yuki were also there, Yuki sitting at the end with a book in his hand yet his eyes weren't focused on the book, they were on you, hanging onto each and every word you said. Kyo wasn't near the table and instead sat in front of the TV, seeming like he wasn't listening to the convocation.

"They move surprisingly fast." Shigure says while looking at you.

"The exterior walls are not done yet but most of the work is complete so grandpa said I could come back so....." You say softly while looking at your hands that rested on your knees. Through your soft tone you had a smile on you lips yet that smile didn't seem to reach your eyes. The silence was deafening after your words settle. Shigure looked at you softly, not smiling, but not frowning either. Yuki was also staring at you with an unreadable expression yet you could see his brow furrow slightly. Kyo wasn't looking at you at all, he was just staring towards the TV, not saying a word. You stare at your hands, playing with them nervously before quickly standing from your seat.

"Oh! I forgot! I haven't started cooking!"

"Oh we could round something up, or better yet why don't we just go out to eat instead." Shigure says, staring up at you with a smile.

"Oh it would be fine! I already have the ingredients I need!" You say as you turn and jog to the kitchen door, turning around and smiling at the three before closing the door as you went to begin cooking.

You begin to boil water, placing it on the oven as you turn it on. You stare at it as it boils, being consumed by the sounds of water bubbling and stream forming.

""Hey I'm home! Sorry I'm late honey!"

FLASHBACK

You turn your head to the door to reveal your mother coming through it.

"Hey Mom! I hope work was good. You must be hungry, dinner is almost ready though!" You respond to you Mom as she takes off her shoes when suddenly she lets out a loud groan and glares at you playfully yet seriously at the same time.

"Ughhh! I told you to stay in bed until your fever was gone young lady!" She scolds you gently while you giggle at her words.

"It's okay Mom! Don't worry! My temperatures gone down a whole lot! I'm great, isn't that right Tohru?" You say as you turn slightly to look at Tohru who sits near the dining table while watching TV, waiting for dinner. She looks towards you from the mention of her name and smiles brightly while nodding at your question. Tohru was in her pajamas yet had a toy stethoscope around her neck along with a small nurse hat. 

"Yea! Big Sis is better! The doctor stuff told me!" She said confidently, eluding to the plastic toys in her grasp.

You giggle softly at Tohru's words as you nod at your Mom. "See, I'm fine! Plus you've been working so hard for us, I can't just do nothing." You tell you Mom softly before looking back at the food to continue cooking. But as you do you feel yourself being pulled into a warm embrace as you feel you Mom hugging you from behind.

"Thank you Sweetie." Her voice was soft, showing her gratitude towards you.
"But sometimes, it's ok to be selfish. That's something we all deserve, especially you." You say nothing and instead smile while leaning your head against her arm, leaning into her warmth.
