Three days later
The sun was shining through the window. The curtains were drawn, letting its warmth and light fill the room.
It irritated her eyes. It was too bright, even with her eyes closed. She tried squeezing them but it was not enough. One, two, three blinks later, her eyes opened.
She took a quick look around the room, recognising it. It was the same as yesterday. That was a good sign, presumably.
She tried moving her body, which wasn't in that much pain anymore, only sore in some spots. She brought her right arm closer to her eyes, because she realised she could lift it, examining it, seeing that most of her gauzes had disappeared.
She went to do the same with her left arm, but something stopped her. It was as if someone had put a huge weight on it. That made her panic a little.
(Y/N) turned her head to look at the source of her discomfort only for her heart to start beating like crazy.
Someone was sleeping on her arm.
'OK let's just calm down first.' She told herself. The person was sleeping, which wasn't an immediate threat, and it looked to be a man. She couldn't see his face, the only thing visible were his green hair, tied in a low ponytail.
Wait a minute.. Green.. Hair? She knew only one person.. It couldn't be.. Could it?
Even though it was difficult, she willed her body to move, to get closer to the male. She lifted her body and at the same time the man turned his head at her, as if he was feeling her movement. He was still sound asleep, so she relaxed.
But what she saw made her heart drop.
It was him! Kyoya. Her Kyoya. There was no mistake. The cross like scars on his cheeks were unmistakable.
But what was he doing here? And sleeping next to her for that fact. Maybe.. Maybe she was dreaming. Maybe he wasn't real. Yeah, that seemed possible. But even if it was a dream, it felt extremely real. Either way, she didn't care. What mattered now was that he was besides her.
Tears welled up in her eyes, her heart starting beating with the speed of light. She carefully pulled her hand from under his and placed it on top of his head.
This dream sure was realistic. His hair was so fluffy, her hand being buried on the softness. He was letting out small hums, reminding her of those small, fluffy animals. Kittens, they were called?
She didn't remember. Her fingers trailed down on his face, stroking lightly his scars, feeling the different texture from the rest of his face. Again, his smooth face felt way too real under her fingertips.
'Am I dreaming?' She muttered to herself, but of course noone answered.
She willed her mind to remember, to think. Was this real or a dream? It had started to not feel like a dream at this point.
But suddenly, another thought popped. And it stopped her movement abruptly.
Her Kyoya did not remember her. He didn't know who she was. All the recordings, all their words suddenly flooded her mind, her hand being pulled as if she had touched hot iron.
Her sudden movement must have startled Kyoya because he opened his eyes almost immediately. He took a few moments to compose himself, the sensations from this amazing dream still present.
