Insecurity

"So, um, (Y/N), how much do you remember?" Ryuga asked first, just so they would know how they would navigate from this point.
They had contacted Hyoma to come as soon as possible and in the meantime they would have to ask or answer questions. Hyoma had warned them to not ask anything specific because they had no idea how she would react. For the time being, general questions were good.
She pursued her lips and lowered her head again, her fingers playing with the soft blanket.
"I remember quite a few things" She whispered and didn't continue, she left it at that. She was not ready to talk about any of it, she even wanted to forget all of it.
The atmosphere around them had gone awkard so suddenly. Everyone was hesitant to speak or look at each other. They had changed. All of them. Whether they wanted to admit it or not.
Eventhough their hearts were at ease and relief was painted on their faces, still, they couldn't shake the fact that they had become mute.
How? That was the one question they asked. So many years, communication was lost, so many things had happened. Where should they start?
"How.. How long was I asleep?"
"Umm, it was quite some time"
She nodded but didn't press it further. It didn't matter anyway. Even if it was a day or a month or a year. It didn't make a difference to her.
The only thing that kept crawling back in her mind was him. Where was he? Is he looking for her? Do they know? And if they know, are they disgusted and ashamed of her?
Is this.. Why they are acting like this? Did they wait for her to wake up and get her out of the house? It couldn't be possible. Why spent all this energy to heal her? They could just let her die. Was there something else going on?
"I can see the wheels turning inside your head flower. What are you thinking?" Kyoya spoke from the side, leaving the bed to give her some space. All of them were sitting in a safe distance from the bed because they could see how overwhelmed she was. They didn't want to add to that.
She shook her head. "It's nothing"
"Baby.." Tsubasa made a move to approach her, trying to take her hands into his but she moved them. He stopped immediately, browns frowning and lips forming a straight line.
"I know it must not be easy for you. But.. Maybe talking your thoughts might help you and us to understand"Shut up!
Who told you to speak?
Do you think we care about what you have to say?
A man wants a woman that stays silent.
I won't have you ruining this with your stupid tongue.
You'll stay quiet and take what I give you.
I won't hear anything from that stupid mouth of yours.
She suddenly clutched her head, pain evident in her face. That was enough to worry them.
"Love? Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, just.. I remembered something"
They didn't push it. It was obvious she didn't want to talk to them just yet. She would need time. Time that were ready to give to her.
"Can i..can I ask you something?"
"Anything you want sweetheart"
"How did you find me?" She lifted her head to look at them. Her nervous demeanor could not got past them. And it was understandable.
