(This drabble happens after events of main, post and teal mask, so it will include spoilers in case you haven't played it)

She thought a goodnight sleep would help with the burnout she had been having since winning the league and gaining a champion rank. Guess she's a champ for two regions now.

A flareon, which she have caught after being sent to hisui and named Buttercup, slept curled up at the foot of her bed. Buttercup's warmth was comforting and kept her trainer warm, especially since it had been raining on and off the past few days.

She grabbed her phone which had been sitting on the window seal, the clock read 12:06 am. She opened up her search engine and looked up what time it is in Unova.

6:06 pm.

Closing the app, she went to the messages app, and looked for a convo tapping on a name with a train next to it.

"Maybe Ings isn't too busy at this time..."

"Hey... no... hmm are you... up to calling if you aren't to busy, if you are maybe... uh when you are off of work... is that the right thing... eh" she said typing.

*Message sent!*

The was nothing for a bit but after about maybe a few minutes three dots appeared.

"Alrighty let's see here, Of course! Me and Emmet just finished up with the last battle for the night. Is everything okay?"

Almost immediately after reading the text, a call popped up.

Beep!

"Hey dude... sorry its been a while since I talked to you and your bro, I've been real caught up in my classes and stuff..."

"There's no need to apologize! You were on your own track and you needed not to derail from your studies. Knowledge is important in becoming a strong trainer"

"Yeah... it was nice you two came to Paldea on my birthday to see me, it was really nice of Elesa to do that, I know it is a little late to say that, heh"

"Well, Elesa did know that you were attend Uva Academy, so she thought maybe to bring us along. It was also nice to know that you got to meet Eri, I'm glad to see our sister getting along with you and your friends!"

(Yeah cutting in here, I headcanon Eri as a younger sibling to the subway brothers)

"Yeah..."

" How about we talk more tomorrow, you probably need to sleep- "

"No I just... I needed to refresh my mind and talk to someone I know personally..."

"Ah... I completely understand, very well what might be troubling you"

"Well I recently earned a champion rank in Paldea so I'm recognized as a champion class trainer... it nice actually  since I don't get randomly swarmed by reporters and random trainers"

"A champion huh, hmm it does sound better being the others have the same rank as you"

"I guess it's nice..."

"Anything else, Ella?"

"Found out that the professor was actually dead and his ai counterpart was standing in and his son found out about it think his father had abandoned him... for several years"

"That sounds horrible"

"And I met this kid, who thought of this pokemon a different way because of stories he heard and I ended up lieing to him when I didn't want to... I ended up hurting someone I didn't want to hurt"

There was silence on the other end, was he angry that she had lied to a younger trainer, or was it because she lied.

"Ingo... I'm sorry for telling you that I really didn't want to hurt the kid's feelings but- Argh... I feel horrible okay"

"I'm sure you could possibly explain to them that you didn't mean to hurt them the next time you do see them!"

Did he know, did he know about the school in unova.

"I do know that there is this school known as blueberry academy, it's in unova so maybe the next time I stop by I might check out the place see what's what, I think I'm actually getting tired now"

"One more thing before you go, please do take care of yourself. Alright? Until our tracks cross paths again, good-night-"

The call ended just like that, it felt better telling someone she could trust about what happened but something deep inside was bitting at the thought. Something big was coming but she didn't know what.

(Ah finally got this little comfort drabble done also for those who have bought the scvi dlc tomorrow for certain time zones the indigo disc dlc is gonna be released, also lots of submas folks are hoping we get some crumbs) anyway until next time!
