The following month of their summer break was a redefining point for the lovers as they maneuvered major changes in their respective lives, experiencing the bitter and the sweet of the firsts in their new relationship and going to wild extremes to hide said relationship from Park Jisung.
After Donghyuck helped the siblings move into their lovely, semi-furnished condo, he had somewhat become their unofficial third roommate. There was no getting rid of him; despite going through the trouble of breaking his rental contract and arguing with the landlord so he could move back home, he spent most of his time at the siblings' place. Sometimes, he'd be there before either one of the siblings had even woken up. Other times, the siblings would come home to find Donghyuck baking cookies or practicing his knitting. The only times he wouldn't be found at the Park siblings' apartment was when he was spending time with his parents or his friends. In fact, Donghyuck was such a prominent member of the household that he was the one who showed Mr and Mrs Park around the apartment when they came over from Busan for a visit as neither of the siblings were home.
Jisung wondered if he was the only one suspicious about this phenomenon.
He wasn't exactly complaining about Donghyuck constantly being around, but it was weird. He couldn't understand why. And what he didn't understand even more was how his sister had not once whined about Donghyuck's presence. Maybe it was because Donghyuck being around meant that they had proper food to eat instead of daily takeout. Eventually, he came to the assumption that the two didn't want to admit that they had grown attached to each other as roommates. Donghyuck's excuse when Jisung asked about his behavior was that they had a gorgeous kitchen that he didn't want to go to waste. He had a point, but that didn't explain why most of the time that Donghyuck was in the apartment, he'd be in Jiseol's room with the door closed.
Jisung shrugged and put his headphones back on. He swore he heard weird noises coming from Jiseol—and Donghyuck's?—bedroom but he guessed they were just arguing about something again.
"Would you stop making those noises? Jisung is going to get suspicious," Jiseol grumbled.
"He'll live," Donghyuck replied, then moaned again which earned himself a slap on the shoulder.
"I'm going to stop if you don't stop moaning."
"But it feels so good!"
Jiseol continued what she was doing, satisfied that Donghyuck opted for buffering his noises in a pillow. The way her nimble fingers gently worked out the knots in Donghyuck's tense calf brought so much relief to him that he, to Jiseol's dismay, farted.
"Come on, man. Gross," she groaned.
"Sorry," Donghyuck grinned, showing he wasn't very sorry at all.
"Does your leg feel better?"
"Yeah, much," Donghyuck thanked her for the massage. "It's been killing me since I did that extreme lunge exercise with Jeno."
