It's been a great semester, so I'd like to thank Kang Mina and Liu Yangyang for destroying my life. I hope you're having fun paying the price!

Jiseol's fingers hovered over the keyboard once she finished writing that last sentence. She froze, staring at the blinking cursor on her screen. She reread what she had written and shook her head, immediately jabbing at the backspace button.

She was completing her last Astral piece for the semester. She had written most of it already, so her brain was on autopilot as she proofread and barely had any thought process while carving out the last paragraph. The piece was about educational milestones and primary student achievements of the semester—next thing she knew, she had subconsciously dished out on Mina and Yangyang. Not that they didn't deserve it, but Jiseol knew better.

She skimmed through her article once again to make sure she hadn't integrated any of her personal resentment into her writing and published the post once she was satisfied. Jiseol turned her PC off and as she packed her things, her gaze moved to the now vacant desk in fromt of her. Since Donghyuck quit in the middle of the school year, the desk would be vacant until the next intake. She couldn't believe what she was feeling but Donghyuck's absence in Astral hit her stronger than she thought it would.

It wasn't fair. Donghyuck didn't do anything wrong but Astral was no longer a safe place for him. As much as he annoyed her, Jiseol envisioned to run Astral with him the following year, especially since they were the only recruits from their first year.

It felt so unfair.

Speaking of the devil, Jiseol snapped out of it when her phone started vibrating in her hand. It was an incoming call from her roommate and she quickly answered it as to not bother the other editors working.

"Sweetheart," Jiseol rolled her eyes at the term of endearment. "You still at the office?"

"Yeah. I'm just leaving."

"Can you grab my notebook from my drawer? And I think there's a packet of Twinkies I left there too."

There was a lot of ruckus in the background of Donghyuck's voice. Jiseol guessed he was at practice; he'd even been staying late to prepare for their upcoming game.

"Yeah, sure. I'll bring them home."

"Thanks, babe!"

With a smooching sound, Donghyuck hung up and Jiseol had to physically refrain herself from gagging. As requested, she opened Donghyuck's drawer and found a notebook next to a packet of Twinkies that looked like they had been there since their freshman year. Without thinking twice, Jiseol threw the Twinkies away as she cringed in disgust and accidentally knocked over the notebook that she had placed on the corner of his desk.

While picking the notebook up, she caught a glimpse of Donghyuck's terrible handwriting, presumably sketching out his articles and ideas. What a brilliant mind he was—it was Astral's loss, really.
