In the eye of the beholder,
A bond so deep and true-
Everyone deserves it; everyone; both me and you
For what is love but a form of deception
Where you can't think straight, not even for one second,
A diamond in the rough
For those who have not yet found it.
It's solid like rock,
Never melts away; the love that caresses one so,
It's ardent and full of life,
Both the sad and happy times
A blend of beautiful, brave colours,
Spread across the horizon,
Something even Shakespeare can't give-
It takes time, yes, to build something this fierce,
A flame that continues to burn
Even when the lights are all on.
It'll eat you up inside
Consuming every inch of your heart
Until what's yours is theirs,
And what's theirs is yours.
Hearts connected, love intertwined,
25 years of the biggest roller coasters
All spent with each other-
A million years of love spent together and still it won't be enough,
Calloused hands from hard work, clinging tightly as though
There wouldn't be another day ahead;
Nothing could compare to it, no,
Not even power,
His Highness would have to bow down to it,
Supremacy to a whole new level, that
Could never be extinct.
When you don't ever want to wake up without knowing you have it,
You know when you know,
Silver Jubilee or not;
My lover is my diamond and I don't have to wait 100 years to know that.
