"DIAL 'M' FOR MERGER"

-
I looked around at Lindsay and Beth, clinging to each other in fear.

"I'll miss your smile!" The blonde cried

"No, I'll miss your smile!" Beth replied. Leshawna ran to Justin, grabbing onto him.

"I'll miss your smile, hot stuff."

Courtney grabbed onto me, and I held her hand, glad to be with her at a time like this. Everyone panicked more as the countdown came closer to an end.

"I'm too knowledgeable to die!" Harold said

"Three.. Two.. One.." Chris laughed before blowing raspberries at us to imitate an explosion. "Suckers! You should have seen the looks on your faces."

"Oh, come on." Duncan rolled his eyes before looking over at me and Courtney with annoyance.

*confessionals*

Duncan: Man, Courtney was this close to begging me to take her back. Just watch. The only problem is I've seen how Y/N is around Courtney... she knows, and I know, that should be me. I'll make her regret that.

*confessionals off*

"You'll need the hook gun and wire cutters to complete this spy challenge. Whether or not Courtney chooses to share them is up to her. And by the way, that other countdown was fake. The real countdown starts now! 30... 29... 28..." Chris smiled at us before we all panicked again.

"Do you think forever includes eternity?" Lindsay asked her best friend.

"Why?" Beth answered.

"Because even if we get blown up and die, we'll still be BFF'S!"

"Aww!" The brunette said as the two girls hugged.

"Ugh! What makes everyone think Chris is serious this time!" Courtney rolled her eyes, and we all looked down at the fireworks below us.

"Personally, I'm not gonna stick around to find out." Leshawna sassed.

"Yeah.. me either," I remarked.

"We can use the zip line to get out of here, but we need another structure of some kind for it to grab onto," Harold said. Leshawna opened a panel in the wall that swung open so we could see outside.

"You mean like that building over there?" She asked.

"What are we waiting for? Let's get outta here!" Beth cried.

"Uh, not so fast," Courtney smirked. "What do I hear for a ride to freedom?"

"You gotta be kidding!" Leshawna argued, "You're willing to bargain with our lives?"

"Um, duh." She rolled her eyes. "and the offers better be good. I've already got a PDA."

"Well, how about a bottle of my face brightener?" Lindsay suggested, "Papayas really good at perking up an ashy complexion."

"My prized action figure, the Transistor Man, still in the box?" Harold added, and Courtney shook her head.

"My French maid's outfit?" Beth said, and everyone looked at her. "What? I played a French maid in the school play."

"I think I have an offer you'll like." I leaned into Courtney, whispering to her seductively, and her face heated up when she looked over at me.

"Yeah, that I'll take." She smirked back at me before turning to the rest of the group. "Sorry, none of these pathetic offers interest me."
