Chapter 22

Catalina

I wore oil green asymmetric thin straps one shoulder wide leg jumpsuit with flat Saint Laurent sandals, Lewis smiled at me

"Are you ready?" He asked me a bit sad

"Yes, can you place my suitcase to your car? I'll take a taxi to the airport" I replied, Lewis grabbed my suitcase and walked downstairs in the car

We arrived on the track a few minutes later and we walked in Mercedes Hospitality and we talked with Bono for a bit, I decided go with Carmen, Charlotte and Isa to the Paddock Club until the race will start

"You ready to leave?" Isa asked and I sighed

"If I say yes I'll lie" I said laughing "I'll miss everything... his smell, his touch"

"You can always tell him about how you feel" Charlotte said

"He does not feel the same and we know that" I replied and I took a sip from my champagne

"We don't know that" The girls said all together

I rolled my eyes and I looked at my glass with champagne

"I will miss him" I whispered and I placed my dark curly hair behind my ear

"He will do the same" Charlotte said

Lewis

I found Valtteri and we started talking in the garages

"Will you tell her?" Valtteri asked me and I laughed

"She is smart and beautiful and she will never look at me" I said and I looked down

"You have to tell her!" Valtteri added

"A beautiful smart woman will never look at me" I said smiling

"I mean look at you!" Valtteri said showing his finger at me "Sexy"

A few minutes later I was in my garage getting ready for the race, I wore my shoes and my eye caught Catalina so I walked to give her a hug

"Good Luck out there" Catalina said smiling and placing a kiss to my cheek "please stay safe"

"I will" I winked at her and I wore my helmet

Catalina

I watched Lewis racing, he did amazing out there and I am too happy about him

On lap 33rd he had an engine issue and Bono told him to retire the car, I sighed

Last year he lost the championship from Max and now he got retired

Lewis came in the pits and the mechanics placed the car into the garage closing the door

Lewis took off his helmet and he walked to hug me, and placing a kiss to my head

"Sorry for that" I said and he smiled a bit

"It's okay" Lewis answered smiling softly

I watched the race with Lewis, Max won of course as the race ended I found myself in front of Lewis' car with him giving me my suitcase

"Goodbye, Catalina" Lewis hugged me and I wanted to cry

"Goodbye, Lewis" I whispered back and I broke the hug

"Thank for everything, again" Lewis said smiling "if you need anything just call me"

"Yes I will call you" I said "Bye"

I walked away without looking back and of course without crying, I took a taxi to the airport

A few hours later I was back in my home in Madrid with Estrella sleeping next to me, I stroked her beautiful brown belly, who would tell me that I'll end up sleeping with my dog

Sofia has texted me a lot of times not wanting talk to anyone, a part of me has died

"Good Morning, Carlos" I said looking curious at him

"Good morning Lewis" Carlos said a bit mad "I'm sorry it's just Catalina, she is not in her best mood not knowing why"

"Oh... Are you leaving for Madrid?" I asked

"Yes" Carlos agreed smiling

I already miss Catalina so much and I want her back
