Chapter 25

Catalina

Merry Christmas!

I woke up around 8 in the morning and Estrella ran in my arms

"feliz navidad" I said petting her belly, I walked in the bathroom of my bedroom to brush my teeth and do my morning routine

As I ended I walked in the closet and I chose a plain long sleeve buttoned pleated sweater dress in white colour, platform brown ankle boots, YSL LouLou bag brown as well and brown long coat, I wore silver diamond stud earrings and I walked downstairs in my car

I started driving to the church for the Christmas Day, I walked in lighting a candle and I made my cross, I walked into the church to watch the Christmas Day's prayer

We ended a few minutes later and my eye caught my mom's best friend, Maria, walking to me

"¡Feliz Navidad, Catalina!" ("Merry Christmas, Catalina!) She gave me a hug

"¡Feliz Navidad, Maria!" I said smiling

"¿No estás en Dubai?" ("Not in Dubai?") Maria asked me as we broke the hug

"¡Quería pasar un tiempo a solas!" ("I wanted to spend some time alone!") I replied and she smiled at me

"¡Todos necesitamos eso!" ("We all need that!") Maria answered "¿Te quedarás solo todo el día?" ("Will you be alone all day?")

"¡Sí! ¡Iré a casa, cocinaré y disfrutaré de mi cena con algunas películas navideñas!" ("Yeah! I'll go home, cook, and enjoy my dinner with some Christmas movies!") I said smiling

We talked for a few minutes and then I walked to my car, it started snowing and the kids walked out of the church to watch it, I got into my car and I smiled looking at them, I placed my hand on my belly

That feels good

I drove back home and the first thing I did was washed my hands and change into black leggings and a beige sweater, I made to myself breakfast: cookies and milk and I walked to the couch

My mom FaceTimed me and we started talking, my dad was there as well and my sister and obviously Carlos

"I really like be alone!" I said smiling

"¡Estás acostumbrado a hablar inglés!" ("You're used to speaking English!") Carlos said and I gave him a death stare

" ¡Yo también te amo!" ("I love you too!") I said ironic

"¿Qué debería decirle a Lewis si me pregunta por ti?"
("What should I tell Lewis if he asks me about you?") Carlos asked me again and my dad slapped the back of his neck

"¡No le hables así a tu hermana!" ("Don't talk to your sister like that!") my dad said madly

"¡Tenemos que irnos ahora!" ("We have to go now!") My mum said

We said our goodbyes and we hanged up, I decided take Estrella for a walk

Lewis

I walked into the venue in Dubai alone, I felt eyes on me but I was trying to find Catalina

Nowhere to be found

My eye caught Carlos and Isa talking with Charles and Charlotte and I walked to them

"Merry Christmas everyone!" I said and I hugged all of them saying our wishes "Carlos" I turned to him

"Catalina is in Spain" Carlos replied

What? Her whole family is here

"With Sofia?" I asked

"No she wanted to spend the Christmas alone" Carlos answered

Fuck...

The only person I love so much in the world is alone during the Christmas Day

"It's my fault?" I asked and no one looked at me "Tell me!"

Carlos looked at Isa that she nodded and he turned to me

"You haven't understood anything?" Carlos asked

"Carlos, what has happened?" I asked curious

"Forget it" Carlos replied, I walked to Valtteri that he was with Tiffany, Toto and Susie

"What will happen if I'll leave?" I asked and they looked at me "Will I be in Madrid before the midnight?"

Valtteri looked at the time and then at me

"Madrid is 7 and half hours by jet, the time is 1 PM there so you'll be in Madrid 8 PM" Valtteri replied

"Good I'm leaving" I walked out of the venue and I called my pilot telling him that we are leaving for Madrid, I took my stuff from the hotel room and then I was in the airport of Dubai

Catalina

I looked at the wine, with a glass I'll be fine I served myself a glass of wine and I sat on the couch, I chose Falling for Christmas and I started eating the two slices of chicken breast with an amazing sauce I cooked and potatoes in the Air Fryer

Estrella was sleeping in front of the TV, I was totally crying watching the movie, the door knocked, I looked at the time 8 PM

I walked there and I opened

Lewis

"What are you doing here?" I asked and he smiled at me

"Merry Christmas" Lewis said and he gave me a hug

"Merry Christmas" I replied and he faced me, our faces were close to each other and without thinking twice I kissed him

He kissed me back

We walked in the apartment without breaking the kiss Lewis had his one hand on my cheek and with his other he brought in his suitcase, he kicked to close the door behind

I broke the kiss and I smiled biting my lip, our faces were still close and his hand on my cheek

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"Carlos told me you are alone and I didn't want to spend the Christmas Day alone" Lewis said "I want to tell you something"

We sat on the couch and I severed him a glass of wine as well

"What has happened?" I asked and he smiled nervously

"I love you" he said, a big smile appeared in my face "I have told you that two times before but you probably didn't hear"

"I heard and I remember! The first time was after we had sex and I thought it was because of that and the other time after the incident with Pierre" I said and he nodded "I love you too Lewis"

"What I was saying what I was doing to you was totally a real thing! I always liked you! I mean I knew your from the paddocks and after the fake dating and during that I realised that I am in love with you" Lewis said and a tear fall from my eye

"I feel the same but I thought that you would never turned to look at me" I said and Lewis giggled

"I thought the same about you" Lewis replied "Maybe I was wrong?"

"Yes you were wrong!" I hugged him and he hugged me back "will you stay?"

"Of course! As long as you want me" Lewis answered

Something died today, my nervous feeling on my stomach for being in love with Lewis

Now that feeling turned into something good! I want him... forever...
