December 24th, 1963

Christmas Eve. A party. With all of the Beatles and their lady "friends". Lots of cookies, alcohol, and joy to be passed around. Emery couldn't wait.

She was dressed in a quarter sleeve, form fitting green dress with a skirt that flared out. It was very gorgeous, Emery thought. And John thought so too, judging by his long glances at Emery as she applied her final coat of mascara.

"Why do you keep staring at me?" She grinned as she applied pink lipstick and put it in her purse.

"Because you're breathtaking." John said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Emery turned around and wrapped her arms around John's neck.

"Thank you, my love. You're very handsome as well." She kissed him.

...

The two arrived at the party, which was at Paul's flat. They knocked and were immediately met with a very happy Paul, presumably since he was now dating Jane Asher, a beautiful actress. Emery was kind of intimidated by her. She was just so gorgeous and famous and...well, so achieving in everything she did. But Jane was so sweet. Emery loved her.

Paul took the cookies that Emery had brought and thanked her, putting them in the kitchen as Emery and John stepped inside.

"Em! You cheeky girl! I knew you and John had a little something going on the side." Paul winked at her. Emery just blushed a deep shade of pink.

John laughed. Watching Emery get embarrassed was such a joy to him.

"Laughing, are you? Watch you turn the same color when I tell everyone what I caught you doing last week." Emery snickered.

"Hey, that was a week ago! So what I like to pretend I'm Frank Sinatra and mouth his songs?" John shot back.

"And what else?" Emery grinned wildly.

"And pretend to tip my hat at the girls in the audience. Ok, I won't embarrass you tonight." John sighed.

"Like it's so hard to restrain yourself." Emery commented as she walked into the room where Paul, Jane, and now apparently Ringo, George, and George's girlfriend, Bernadette Farrell.

Emery also was a bit intimidated by Bernadette. She was very beautiful. Emery didn't want to be shy and pitiful, and she wasn't. She was a strong girl, but she couldn't help but feel insecure. Why pick her when John could have any girl he bloody wanted? She could never tell anyone that though, well, John knew to some extent how she felt, but if she told anyone the full length of it they would send her to a mental hospital. That's how it was in the 60s.

Everyone exchanged their greetings, and then the party officially started. Paul put on a Christmas record and turned it very high. Emery was ectstatic with all of the Christmas joy.

Her and John were dancing...well...Emery was laughing as John encouraged her to dance. She wasn't very skilled in the dancing field, but she could dance generically.

"Having fun?" John gleamed at her.

"Lots of fun, John!" Emery jumped.

John laughed. "Good. I'm glad."

"Are you having fun? Is the Christmas joy suffocating you yet?" She pulled his shirt collar towards her to give him some air as he wrapped his arms around her waist, "White Christmas" playing in the background.

"Hey, don't ruin my shirt. This is my only good one." John joked. Emery rolled her eyes with a smile.

"Nope. It's perfect. I love you so much." He kissed her.
