"Chris! Chris! Wait!"

Taylor hurried out the front doors of the Marriott - where outside: it was raining with the viscosity of a race track; in which each droplet felt ice cold and heavy on the skin; almost creating marks or dents on the pavement.

The rain: soaked Taylor as she exited the building, almost instantly. Chris: had called for a taxi, and was in the process of waiting for the courier to arrive at the destination; walking towards the curb.

Chris stopped in his tracks, and turned his head towards Taylor, and before he could utter a single syllable - Taylor grabbed his face with both her hands, and kissed him on the lips.

The two embraced in a kiss which could be felt throughout time, space and history itself. It was the defining moment in the universe in which 'the bond,' between the primordial versions of man and woman intertwined and met at the cross roads - a place where even the devil feared venturing; unprepared for true love: the meeting of two soul mates; a man who believed and a woman who was raised a believer.

The rain washed over the two as they stood outside, "Taylor.." Chris said, as she finally let go of him for a moment to allow him to respond; verbally.

"Don't speak, now; Chris. You know as well as I do.. I've always loved you. Even if you didn't know it, for sure."

There was a long moment of silence as Chris peered into the soul in which he was destined to wed since the advent of Heaven's Empire. Since the raising of the Garden of Eden; before the apple had been picked from the tree of life and set ablaze; much like his heart had been when Taylor touched his face, let alone his lips with hers.

"Before I loved you, Chris: there was nothing. Now: there's matter."

Then: the taxi pulled up.

"Come on, let's go somewhere they can't find us." Chris said.
