AN this is the final chapter! I know I know the ending may seem rushed but that's because I sorta had this written out for awhile and lost my train of thought on it, so you get this and it's chaos and I'm sorry but I hope you like it anyways!
***Remus***
He held up the shield blocking the attack from hitting Roman. Patton glared.
"Oh come on that would have hit him directly!" Patton glared as he threw a attack at Virgil this time. Remus screamed in fear as he put up a shield around Virgil as well. "Stop playing the hero Remus! You will never be one! You are worthless!" Remus laughed as he held his side focusing on keeping the shields up around his friends and his brother.
"No. I'm not." Remus stood his ground. "You are! You really think attacking us was going to do anything!? I am more powerful here than out in the real world!"
"Remus what are you doing!?" Janus shouted. Remus looked at Janus and smiled.
"Something brave."
"No! You are doing something absolutely stupid!" Janus struggled against the chains holding him. "Please Remus no!"
"I'm not falling for that." Patton lashed out at Remus while he was distracted and the shields fell away. Remus screamed.
"NO!" He went to put them back but chains grabbed hold of him and he screamed in pain.
"Now you can't protect your friends anymore." Patton walked over and tilted remuss head to face a knocked out Virgil. "I'll kill him first." Remus started crying as Patton used magic to lift Virgil into the air.
"Not on my watch, bitch." Remus stared wide eyed at who just spoke. Patton looked at Logan in shock.
"How did you-."
"Say goodnight." Logan knocked Patton out and Remus smiled in relief. Logan looked at Remus and shook his head. "Don't you ever do something that stupid again."
"No promises."
***Patton***
Patton opened his eyes and looked around the room. It was silent. He saw all the others looking at him including Thomas.
"Oh god what did I do.." Patton looked around at everyone seeing the cuts and bruises but seeing what he did to Logan made him cover his mouth in shock. "Lo your mouth..."
"It'll heal." Logan said. "Are you...back?"
"I think so?" Patton looked at the others. Remus looked uncomfortable. "Remus?"
"I don't trust that you are back yet. We've been fooled before."
"I don't feel bad anymore." Thomas pointed out. Patton looked at the others.
"Can someone explain to me what the heck is happening?" Virgil looked at his feet and then back at Patton.
"Well, you tried to kill us."
***a few months later: Logan***
Logan sat holding Remus while he read his book. Remus played with the sleeve on his shirt.
"Hey Lo, how's your mouth?" Logan sighed and closed his book knowing he wasn't going to be able to continue to read it at this point.
"It hurts but I healed it up pretty quickly in the imagination." Remus looked up at Logan and gently ran his finger along the scars.
"Is the phantom pain still there?"
"Only sometimes my love." Logan looked down at Remus. "Are you ever going to tell me about your scars? I don't mean to be rude but I'm just worried that it's taking more a toll on you than you are letting on."
"I just don't like talking about them..." Remus looked away and Logan held his cheek turning him to face him again.
"Well, I hope you'll be able to eventually." Logan leaned forward and kissed Remus and Remus leaned into the kiss. Logan pulled away and squeezed his boyfriends hand. "I will always be here for you."
"And I you." Remus smiled. "I never thanked you, for not just walking away from the door all those months ago. You saved my life Logan."
"Yeah? Well you saved mine." Logan kissed Remus again and then pulled him into a hug. "And I will never let you forget that."
