Kagaya listens to the report from Sanemi and Obanai, his wife at his side as he thought.

"This is good. It eases my heart that my children didn't lose their lives." When Shinobu didn't check in, he wasn't worried assuming she was only delayed. Then Rengoku went missing after the Mugen train mission and it affected the notable young slayers that thought he was dead after chasing down an Upper Moon.

The one that affected the leader of the Demon Corps was the disappearance of Muichiro. The young boy had been under his watch when he first came to them after the demon attack that killed his brother. He didn't worry for him till his crow came back with a report of Upper Moon One taking him away.

That broke him for a bit, a promising light gone but still he had hope and had said he was only MIA and not dead. He wouldn't believe it.

He had been proven right.

"Sanemi, Obanai Please bring them back safely at all costs."

Kanae had hugged him tightly that evening. Sanemi released his scent to comfort the beta. She had brought him into her nest but he and Kanao are her only pack mates. They weren't mates, no matter how he felt about her.

Her tears were soaking his uniform that he button up only for her even when she can't see. Her eyes constantly bandage during the day to protect the lack of eyelids slashed by the claws of a demon.

If he ever found the demon he would hack it till only its upper torso remained to hang in the sun.

"Please, bring her back." Kanae choked out. Her little sister, though trapped with others, was probably worried for their safety and the future of her pup.

"I promise." Sanemi would kill all the demons that stood in his way to bring his comrades back.

Outside her sister's room, Kanao can feel her resolve become clear.

Douma would look down at Shinobu when her heartbeat sped up. But he didn't worry long with Kotoha purring against his side, finally resting after a long night. His throne could only fit the two comfortably and Douma was willing to get off so his two goddesses could share but Shinobu was humble. She knew Kotoha needed it more than she did.

Especially when his worries were lessened with exciting news!

Kotoha was going to give him twins! That had explained why the pregnancy had been so hard on her. He had feared it was the nature of the pup but it was only she was working double duty.

He just couldn't pick up the twins' separate heartbeats till Kotoha had gotten good sleep. Hers had taken over the already hard to hear hearts so to hear two had him over the moon and celebrating.

Too bad this only made him more protective of his pack.

His meals are becoming more and more spaced out and Akaza is picking more fights with him. Even Kokushibo would stare him down, flexing his scent directly at him before giving him a command to stay away from his omega.

But back to what he was hearing.

Shinobu looked up at him and waved at him from her own cushion.

"Gomen!" Douma smiles at the reassurance before looking back at their newest asylum seekers.

"Welcome to Eternal Paradise!" He grins their way, eyes observing them.

"Thank you..." The young woman was quiet and her partner then swallowed his pride, his scar crunching as he furrowed his frown as he bowed.

"Thank you, Gracious Founder." Douma gets up, helping Shinobu up before carrying the still-sleeping Kotoha. The attending cult members bow on his way out, returning to the nest so his pack can cuddle for the rest of the day.
