"Thor," Loki hisses venomously, "I don't want to go to this stupid planet!"
"Why," Thor frowns as he looks at Loki.
Loki stares at Thor as if his head fell off and rolled down a rabbit hole. Isn't it obvious why Loki would not want to go to Midgard? Of course, Thor is a giant oaf, so his two brain cells probably haven't been able to find each other. "Because," Loki says slowly, "I attacked their planet. They don't like me."
"They will," Thor says confidently.
At this point, Loki is unsure if they remember the same incident. Was there perhaps another God of Mischief from Asgard that just happened to also attack Midgard that had a better turnout than Loki's?
"They won't, Thor. If you haven't noticed, not many people like me. Odin doesn't like me; you don't like me; Asgard barely tolerates me; Midgard hates me; my father didn't even want me!"
"That's not true! The only truth in your statement is that you attacked Midgard. Father and I both love you very much. I'm sorry, brother, but you have to pay the price. It's this or staying in the Asgardian dungeons for life. I had to pull many strings with Father to get you this opportunity. You'd be wise not to turn it down."
Loki crosses his arms with a huff. If he's stuck with this barbarian's stupid plan, he will make it well known it's against his will. "I'll go with you to Midgard."
Thor smiles smugly, and Loki wants to punch his stupid face! "Tony is aware of my impending arrival but is not warned of your presence. It will be a pleasant surprise."
"Pleasant for who exactly?" Loki snarks.
Thor doesn't answer.
Heimdall greets them at the entrance to the Bifrost. "Hello, Thor and Loki. What brings you here today?"
It's not as if he doesn't know. This man would see if Loki took a shit in the Sahara Desert.
"We are going to Midgard," Thor answers.
Heimdall nods in agreement and opens the Bifrost quickly. "Be careful down there. Don't get in any trouble."
Loki pushes past Heimdall with an angry scoff. When has he ever gotten in trouble?
His annoyance doubles when Thor steps on his cape upon their arrival, causing him to trip face-first onto the ground. Loki growls and yanks his cape from under Thor's boots. Thor gives Loki an apologetic look that Loki promptly ignores.
"Uncle Thor!" A joyful voice rings out.
Loki looks up in horror. Thor doesn't have any other siblings than Loki. Loki doesn't remember taking any partners in recent years, but there's always the possibility he got very drunk and made a mistake. "That's not mine, is it?" Loki silently begs that it is not so. He picks himself off the ground and brushes off his armor. He will get Thor back for making him look like a fool.
Thor gapes at Loki for a solid ten seconds. "Of course, he's not yours! Where did you get that ridiculous idea?"
"He called you "uncle," Thor. Last time I checked, "uncle" is the word used for the brother of one's parent. I'm your only sibling!"
"Not to worry, brother. He is Iron Man's son."
"I'm not your brother, and Toby Stark has a kid? That sounds even worse than you as a father."
"It's Tony, and yeah, I'm his son. Peter Parker-Stark. I'm not his biological son. He adopted me a few months ago after my aunt kicked me out of the house. I'm Spider-Man. She wasn't thrilled when she found out. Tony took me in. The Avengers are like my family. They're all like my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Now, who are you? Would you like to see my lab? I can do cool tricks! Wanna see? That's a cool outfit! Is it leather? Can I touch it?"
