Someone who reads this fic on AO3 requested that I make Peter trans-FTM. I thought the request fits in with my idea to make Loki genderfluid, so I accepted it. Y'all feel free to leave requests for things you would like to read in this book. I may use some of them.

A knock on the bedroom door interrupts Peter and Loki's weekly Friday afternoon movie. "Peter? Loki? Are you guys in there?"

Peter pauses their TV show - Merlin - to answer. "Yeah, Mom. We're both in here."

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah."

Pepper opens the door and sits on Peter's desk chair. She carefully avoids knocking off any figurines precariously balanced on his desk. "I need to talk to you about something."

Peter turns the TV off and gives Pepper his full attention. "Uh-oh."

"It's nothing bad," Pepper reassures him. "I've been registering Loki for school and finalizing his adoption papers these past few weeks. I finally finished everything today. Loki starts school at Midtown Tech next Monday."

"Midgardian school? Loki asks dumbly. It isn't registering in his mind that these mortals are sending him to a mortal school. He is over a thousand years old. He's been through school - Asgardian school. There is no need for this. "That is not happening."

"Yes, it is."

Peter grabs Loki's arm. "This is great, Loki," he squeals. "You'll love my school! You can meet my best friends Ned and MJ. They're awesome. You'll love them. It'll be fantastic."

Loki's head dramatically drops back. "Curse you, Odin," he grumbles. The Allfather probably had a hand in this decision. He's been ruining Loki's life since he stole him from Jotunheim.

"It'll be fun," Pepper says. "You'll meet new people and have new experiences."

"You see, the issue is, I don't want to meet new people," Loki informs them. "Who's idiotic idea was it to send me to school?" He needs to plan an elaborate prank for the culprit - to show his appreciation, no other reason.

"Natasha suggested the idea, but everyone agreed. We figured it was the easiest and most authentic way to acclimate you to Earth's culture."

Loki's demeanor changes when Pepper mentions the terrifying redhead that outwitted him during his attack on Midgard. Natasha may be beautiful, but she is just as deadly. "I will go to school," he decides. He is not in the mood to argue with Natasha. He will lose and embarrass himself.

Loki's sudden mood change shocks Pepper, but she is not about to waste this opportunity. She mentally files the speech she spent hours coming up with to convince him in the back of her mind for later use. "Okay, thank you for cooperating. I had another reason for this visit. Loki doesn't have any human clothes. He's been getting by using magic and wearing Bucky's clothes - which do not fit. He can't wear ill-fitting clothes or use magic in school. We need to go shopping today. Your Dad has a press conference with Steve this afternoon, and I'm busy all day tomorrow, so we're going now. Both of you get dressed and meet Wanda and me in the lobby."

"Mom, no," Peter groans, drawing the sound out.

"Peter, yes," Pepper mimics him.

"Why do I have to go?"

"Because you are also getting new clothes."

Peter's willingness to abandon him offends Loki. He despises clothes shopping just as much as Peter, if not more, but probably not for the same reason.
