I used to live a normal life, things were good with me and my brothers. My parents cared for us and loved us... but i didn't know how few days left i had with them, and just when things seem at there worst, someone saved me.

It's been a little over a week since Shinobu and Kanae have taken the three of us in.
my wrist has been healing well though Shinobu would give constant check ins about it.
Me and my brothers had begun basic training with Kanae mostly though some with Shinobu. the two mostly took it easier on us since we're still new. We have learned the basics of breathing but none of us have really gotten much practice with it. Though since im the most disciplined as well as having the most time on my hands with being slightly injured have gotten the most practice with the total concentration breathing.
It is still hard to do, keeping my breathing steady is quite difficult, especially for extended periods of time.
"UGGGGH"
I groan and fall back onto my bed after loosing my total concentration breathing again.
"Its so hard to keep this up, it hurts my lungs so bad..."
I breathlessly whisper as i look up at the ceiling, and shortly after i hear a voice coming from the doorway
"Are you going to do your chores around here or not?"
I sit up and smile warmly at the small woman in the doorway
"Yeah, yeah i'll get to it Shinobu"
I say as i start to stand up from my bed and walk over to Shinobu who had a frown on her face.
"Just because your still recovering does not mean that you get to skip out on work you know"
I simply chuckle in response as we start to walk to the kitchen so i can wash the dishes and then decide to ask.
"Do you have any chores left to do?"
"(Y/n), its 4:30 in the afternoon, i did all my chores hours ago because im not as lazy as you"
She retorts with the usual teasing tone that i've grown to know she often uses.
"Im not that lazy..." I reply quietly as i grab a rag and start to wash the dirty dishes, scrubbing slowly in a circle on the plate as i wash it with soap and water.
She then looks at you with skeptical look that basically says "Yeah right" and i just smile and shake my head as i continue washing the dishes.
As I continue washing the dishes she decides to make herself some food and continues to watch as i do the dishes
After a few minutes i decide to ask her something that i've been thinking about since we met her.
"Hey, Why did you and your sister become demon slayers?"
Shinobu let out a little sigh and looked away as she eats another bite of her food
"Why would i tell a lazy ass like you though?"
