Kanae's Funeral was honestly super hard to get through, since she was a Hashira, some others i had not seen before were there, like the Sound Hashira Mr. Uzui and his three wives, they said some nice things and it felt like they did care for her, as well as another Hashira, the Stone Hashira, Mr. Himmejima. He said some of the nicest things about Kanae and like Mr. Uzui, seemed to have gotten along really well with Kanae while she had been alive, but then another Hashira came up to her gravestone, he had a white Haori on, had white hair and was covered in scars, i think his name was Mr. Shinazugawa, hes a much newer Hashira but I had seen him around only a few times, he usually only talked to Kanae though and never to me, he didn't say anything at the funeral but did put some flowers on Kanae's grave. Shinobu, Aoi, Kanao, Kiyo, Sumi, Naho and I were the last to leave her grave that day, Shinobu was an absolute mess, she tried to hide it at times but I could tell she was hit super hard by the death of her sister, and at the funeral everyone cried except Kanao, but we all knew she couldn't, none of us criticized or belittled her though, we know she was feeling sad, but just couldn't express it.

When the funeral finally ended and we went home, I didn't have much time before I was to leave for my cultivator, and as I left, each of the girls at the butterfly mansion gave me a tight hug, even Shinobu and Kanao, who had never really given me all that tight of hugs since i was brought in. It was hard leaving them, especially at this time, but the corps needed members to be trained, and the faster I started my training with my new cultivator, the faster I get to come back.

I traveled for days, traveling through lots of forests, I luckily didn't run into any demons on my trip, following the map Kanae had left me before her passing, but the cultivator was just so far from the butterfly mansion. Through forests and over mountains I traveled each day until my legs couldn't carry me any farther. Some days it hurt so much just to walk after walking so much the day before, I constantly felt sore, and nearly ran out of food a few times, but after 17 days of travel, I finally arrive outside the house in the forest, I walk up to the door and knock on it.

When the door is opened, im surprised by what I see, a tall, older man wearing a blue Jinbei Kimono, and most notably, he has a red tengu mask on his face with a very long nose

(Y/n): "Hello? Im (Y/n) (L/n), I'm here to meet my cultivator, Sakonji Urokodaki, are you him?"

The man nods and replies with:

"So, your the one Kocho sent to me? Let us get started then, we shall see if you are truly ready"

He lets me put my stuff in his house and then tells me the first part of the test

Urokodaki: "Were climbing the mountain"

I nod in reply and follow him up the mountain, it takes hours but he finally stops, by now its gotten dark and i can barely see, along with the fog making it even harder, i can't even tell whats even 15 feet in front of me. When he finally does stop, he says only a few wrds, but in a way letting me know he is not messing around.

Urokodaki: "Now then, find your way back to my house at the foot of the mountain, I will not wait until daybreak"

And with that, he disappears into the fog

I decide to look around, I don't have an incredible sense of sight or smell, or even that good of a sense of direction so finding my way down in almost complete darkness is going to be tricky, but I start where I was coming from initially and decide to retrace as many steps as I remember.

As i run down the mountain, trying to make it before daybreak, I feel my leg catch on something, tripping me and sending me tumbling to the ground, I look back and can barely make out a trip wire
