"Please Come and help me. Divine Dogs..." My calling made the shadows beneath my feet shoot out of the ground like ink. They weren't fully solid, more like weird liquid that was flowing yet not. They were an incomplete summoning. There were two murky shadows beside me, one in each side.

The fragmented knowledge in my mind began to slowly fit together like puzzle pieces.

GrRrRRRrrrRRr

Without proper form, their growls were awkward and all over the place. It felt like their throats had holes and the sound was like a deep whistle with pieces of lead inside it.

"Catch her."

With an incomplete form, they leaped forward. Without proper solid form, they melded with the shadow and struck the flying woman from the sky. One bit her shoulder while the other waited on the pillar, digging its shadowy claws on it.

Bianca fell from the monster's grip. The waiting shadow leaped from the pillar and grabbed her with his fur. Its paws scratched the pillar, turning it into a scratching post. It was incomplete due to my incompetence in Sorcery and it was obvious, but that worked in my favor. Their lack of proper form made their range feel extended as their shape became more malleable, though they felt a lot weaker in that form as well.

I grabbed Bianca from the shadow's back and put her arm around my neck. She was heavier than I expected.

It worked!

I remained with a serious expression, "Return!" the two dogs -- wolves really -- dissipated. They turned into puddles of dark liquid which fell on the ground, and then melted into the shadows, disappearing forever. "Not that return!" I yelled, holding Bianca in my arms.

The flying woman seemed far from done. She hissed in anger, flapping her wings and making the winds far stronger and more rough. Keeping my eyes open was impossible, the wind, dust, and small wood particles were all flying into my eyes.

I relentlessly rubbed them to take the material out of it.

All of the hairs on my body stood up as I felt something come my way. I jumped out of the way and fell on top of Bianca's limp unconscious body. I couldn't see, but at the same time, I could sense the enemy.

That's it!

I got up with Bianca in my hands --

THUD

"AGHK!" My head hit a corner -- most likely of the desk -- and I grabbed it, I breathed through my teeth and stomped my feet.

I felt the woman dive at me again. I jumped sideways--

THUD

My face hit a large flat surface. My nose swelled up and I felt tears fall from my eyes. The attack was still coming, so I pushed myself off with my feet and used my right hand to protect my head from anything there.

My face stung and my head still hurt.

"I need to see," I carefully and gently let down Bianca and clasped my hands together. "Divine Dogs! Be my sight!" I felt my shadows erupt like a volcano, bringing back the two dogs. This time they felt more complete than before, still incomplete but better than before. I put a hand on them and used the other to drag Bianca under and behind the counter. Grabbing the shadowy fur, I felt it pull me.

I jumped and heard something crash next to me.

The pillar? If I hadn't moved my head would've been crushed.

"Sic her!" I let go of its fur and sensed it quickly dash away from me. I could command it by using the weird air or aura I felt from the flying woman. I heard growling, wings fluttering, and tearing flesh.
