"Enjoy your day sir!" Leilani waved as the customer left the store, that one customer in particular had become a regular that month although Leilani had never seen him around NYC, especially around these parts. Just as she was indulged in her own thoughts she noticed the 20 dollar bill on the counter, it was his change. Or so she thought. She quickly snatched the bill before anyone saw it. "He forgot his change.." Leilani didn't know what to do. but without thinking she charged out of the cafe and sped down the sidewalk looking for the man.
It had been a few hours and she was unsuccessful in finding the man but she kept running around corners she was determined to find him, then she spotted him standing on the sidewalk, looking surprisingly clueless. "SIR!! YOU FORGOT YOUR CHANGE-" she waved at him until she landed face first into the ground. "Ouch. That looked like it hurt. Are you ok?" The man walked up to her holding out his hand for her. Leilani looked up, her vision was a bit blurry but it cleared. Her face was numb and it had a few scratches. She looked him in the eyes, and felt a bit embarrassed. "Thank you.." she took his hand and stood up. "You forgot your change" she took out the 20 dollars she had been clutching in her left hand. He looked down at it and immediately chuckled "oh shit.. I should have been more specific before I left" He looked like he felt guilty about something, Leilani looked at him dumbfounded. "It was a tip." Leilani didn't believe it "20 dollars? That's a lot. Are you sure?" She looked at him with a serious look. "100%" He stared back at her with a stupid smile on his face feeling a bit at fault for making her run all the way here. "I feel so dumb" Leilani bursted out laughing. "Sorry for making you run all the way here lady." He laughed with her. "It's alright, I should get back then shouldn't I, I'm gonna be in so much trouble!" Leilani started waving, until he grabbed her by the wrist "Wait! Uh here, have my number. I feel really bad so let me take you out somewhere tomorrow as an apology" Leilani was reluctant at first "Are you sure? You've already tipped 20 dollars" but took his number. "What do I save your number as?" Leilani asked. "You don't know?" He replied confused. "What do you mean by that? Am I supposed to know?" Leilani laughed. "Never mind, my names Pedro." Leilani was a bit confused. "Ok, Pedro. I'll see you around then!" She quickly ran off as she saved his number as 'Pedro?' "WAIT!- what's your name.." he face palmed.
"What a crazy day.." She sighed.
"What a crazy day" He chuckled to himself.
