Kymorah's POV.
"I missed you so much mommy." I say as the waterworks begin.
She flicks away the tears with both her thumbs, embracing me in a hug with all different types of emotions.
"I missed you too baby." She pulls away, kissing my cheek.
I sigh, looking behind me as Ronaldo looks at me with somewhat pitiful eyes.
I hesitantly break eye contact with him, looking down at my mom's luggage that sits on the hospital bed, undoubtedly eager to go back into a closet.
But knowing mommy, she's gonna throw these away.
I smile at the thought, picking up a heavy bag from the bed.
Nope, not a rass.
I struggle to lift it so I just place it on the floor.
Leaning against the bed with my hand at my cheek, I reflect on the past—what I'd call—eventful weeks.
Client to friend to being kidnapped together to being....strangers?
I kinda expected more from the friendship. Like, I don't know.
"Yuh good?" An arm is now thrown over my shoulder.
"Yea" I reply, smiling up at him.

"Hungry?" He asks.
I shake my head no.
He nods and we walk out of the hospital room with mommy and Kylo leading the way.
Approaching the parking lot, Badz exits his car making his presence known to mommy.
"Aunty!" He shouts.
"Neph neph!" She says running towards him.
"Miss yuh ino" He squeezes her tight.
I can see a look of discomfort on her face.
Him hurt up somewhere, naa ask.
Feeling a constant vibration in my back pocket, I remove my phone, seeing an unknown number flash across my screen.
I accept the call, pressing the device against my ears.
"Hello?" The person on the other line says.
How dat sound like-
"Mani?" I question, to confirm my suspicion.
"Yes, it's me. What's up witchu?" She asks.
"Good enough, last time I checked I had your number saved. What happend?"
