When we are happy

Chapter 19: Bubbles

I stare at the pool.

Why did i agree to this?

This is so scary.

"It's going to be okay." Parker helps lead me to the stairs of the pool.

"I'm right here, baby." He kisses me.

I nod.

He gets into the pool and when he reaches the bottom step it's already up to his knees.

That's not too bad, right?

I slowly step in and to my surprise it's warm.

"Good girl, that's it."

I reach the bottom and i instantly wrap my arms around his neck getting close to him. He makes me feel safe.

"I'm gonna walk us a little bit deeper alright?"

I nod and he walks us back.

The water hits my waist and i get scared. I cling myself onto Parker, wrapping my legs around him.

"You're okay, baby." His arms wrap around me as he holds me up close against him.

I hold onto him so tightly i'm terrified to let go.

"You can still touch the bottom here," Parker kisses my shoulder.

I slowly unwrap my legs from him and i let my feet sink into the floor.

"That's it, good girl."

I let the water deep into my skin.

"How do you feel?" He questions.

"Good." I smile.

"Do you want to try and put your head under the water?"

I nod.

His hands stay wrapped on my hips, "I've got you, okay?"

I nod, "Okay."

I squeeze my eyes shut and close my mouth and bend my legs sinking beneath the water.

Everything goes quiet. It's like a sound barrier.

I stay under for a few seconds before bouncing back up.
