John moved stealthily through the airport, quietly making his way to the third level. From this vantage point, he had a clear view of the ongoing activity below. Airport staff were diligently directing nonessential bystanders to the second floor to clear the way for the Princess and her bodyguards on the first.

Although John couldn't yet spot the Princess herself, he could see the paparazzi already gathered, eager to capture her image. The airport was abuzz with anticipation and excitement.

As John observed the scene from above, he also kept an eye out for any sign of Merlyn, the dangerous rogue archer. The two large rows of Crowd Control Stanchions, stretching from the escalator to the first floor, suggested the heightened security measures in place for the royal arrival.

Despite momentarily losing sight of Merlyn after entering the airport, John dismissed any thought of the old adversary leaving. It was clear that Merlyn was here for a specific purpose, and John remained resolute in his determination to protect the Princess from any potential threat. His fingers clenched around the metal rail of the third floor as he steeled himself for the impending confrontation. John was committed to ensuring the safety of Princess Perdita Vladek, whatever it took.

As John continued to watch the crowd below, his eyes began to ache once more, and a sensation of discomfort overtook him. Desperate to alleviate the pain in his tired eyes, he blinked rapidly, trying to regain his visual clarity. During this momentary respite, his Danger Sense alerted him to a subtle shift in the air behind him.

Like lightning, John swiftly turned around, his senses on high alert, but his eyes couldn't discern any presence in the immediate vicinity. A feeling of unease lingered, refusing to dissipate, even as he visually confirmed that no one was behind him. His instincts told him to remain cautious.

With a sense of trepidation, John turned back to look down at the crowd of people below. The sudden increase in noise from the paparazzi indicated that something significant was happening. His gaze shifted to the second-floor escalator, where he anxiously awaited the appearance of the person he was here to protect—the Princess herself.

As John's golden eyes remained fixed on the edge of the escalator, he observed a group of six men dressed in black and white suits coming into view. His keen senses allowed him to deduce that these individuals were the Princess's bodyguards. But it was when he focused his enhanced eyesight on the center of the group that he spotted a small girl probably no older than he was hidden among them.

John understood that this must be Princess Perdita Vladek, the VIP he had been tasked with escorting and protecting. Her presence within the group of bodyguards confirmed her identity. Now that he had laid eyes on her, he needed to decide on how he would proceed with the mission. The safety and well-being of the young Princess depended on his actions in the moments to come.

Just as John was on the verge of deciding his next move, his Danger Sense flared up once more, warning him of multiple threats within the crowd of paparazzi. Despite looking down and seeing nothing amiss, John hesitated, mindful of the false lead from earlier and unsure if the danger was genuine.

As the group of bodyguards began their descent down the escalator with the Princess, John's heightened sense of danger intensified, reaching a point where it could no longer be dismissed. He focused on a particular individual in the crowd that his Danger Sense had singled out, observing as the person pulled out a camera that appeared unusually large for the occasion.

With a sense of urgency, John knew he couldn't ignore his instincts any longer. In a swift and decisive move, he leaped from the third floor of the airport and descended between the two rows of Crowd Control Stanchions.
